Football is so strange - when Fylde went 3-0 down, you'd have thought they had the win in the bag at that point. Somehow Salford miraculously hung on.

To be honest I am glad Salford have gone up to league two. Not because I like the team, but it stops them from trying to ruin non-league by buying players that are too good for the league. And also the wages they are on is stupid as well

The attendance was only just over 8,000... shows how quickly both clubs have risen through the leagues that neither have the fan base to break even 10,000 when combined at Wembley. If it had been played in the north maybe it would of been higher but I like the fact it’s played at Wembley.

the traditionalist in me doesn't like Salford's rise, but it's not like they the ONLY team to be bank rolled to success. Fylde have had a similar rise through the leagues and what from I've read Eastleigh and Harrogate have had a lot of backing (relative to the level). Then there's the likes of Forest Green, Crawley and Fleetwood already in the football league. Even higher up the leagues, Wolves spent a lot in comparison to other championship sides in their promotion campaign. 15-18m for Neves was it? But because they are a traditional club no one bats an eyelid. Just imagine if MK Dons were in the championship and signed Neves, there would be an uproar. Then the Chelsea's and Man City's are doing the same.

Both of these teams are serious arguments for financial fair play rules in the national league , in fact I doubt either club would even pass the EFL's FFP rules if they were audited right now
