This is the final review of my G-Shock watch series. This MT-G B2000B-1A2 looks great in all occasions. That's why I can say that, if I had to choose, this one would be my only watch. Hope you enjoy it!

My wife is currently in Japan at this exact moment. She had video called me here in the US this morning. She had this on a counter compared to one of the analogue looking frogmans. I wanted a frogman most of my life, but when I saw these two compared I went with the MTG and I got to tell you this is gorgeous. Gorgeous! I can't wait till she gets back not just to see her. But also I'm so excited about this watch.

I so agree! I have 20+ watches, some of them far more expensive Swiss made ones - but this watch is easily most exciting, intriguing and most beautiful one I've seen. Just pure magic. Actually, I'm in the process of selling my other watches, because I simply don't wear them anymore. This is the one, I've been looking for all these years (mine is with silver bracelet and with black bezel).

I keep buying large G-Shocks then selling them; I then regret selling them LOL. Maybe I should try this one and force myself to keep it. Thanks for showing this watch.

@@timetowatch_francois FWIW, I haven’t pulled the trigger yet on this one. However I just re-bought my GWG-1000 Mudmaster from my friend 😂. I missed it. So I see this as a win for large G-Shocks.

I agree that this is probably the best one and done watch. However, I don't like how the hands move feature doesn't work in stopwatch and timer mode. I keep waiting for a blacked out version with black rubber strap. They promised lots of different colors which hasn't materialized.

I'd swap the résine strap for a silver/metalic one m'8 That one is banging still My Next one is the MTG-B20001AJF (PURPLE one) Thanks for sharing m'8

Great piece. Did you see the new 3000 series? A lot thinner and smaller. Looks amazing.

@Tarik Sefic ... unfortunately, yes, I did 😩 and yes, it looks amazing ... I feel my budget's going to take a hit! Kidding aside, it's the small differences that makes it so attractive. G-Shock know where they are going with this line of MT-G watches and I like where it's going ... it's my wallet that doesn't like it! 😉 Thanks for watching and for your comment.

Mtg 2000 imo are much better looking. I don't care for round bezel on the 3000. The 2000 bezel is 12 sided and less fussy.

@@shaggyman8564 - I agree; I like my MTG-B2000 and I won't change it for the B3000. But, I can't say the B3000 is not a good looking watch. That round bezel is right in line with the B1000 I already have (my review is here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b9aSpaug1brSoGQ.html). Thanks for your insight.

I am going for the 2000, it imho looks much better and more original in design than the 3000. 2000 is also more elegant, and I like this blue color as well.

If you have the tools, unscrew the case back and see how you can take out the old one and add in the new … but personally, I’d have an authorized G-Shock dealer do it. Furthermore, I’m curious; this watch only came out a few years ago and you already need to change the rechargeable battery? If I were you, I’d check with G-Shock directly b/c it may still be under warranty. Hope you find what you want. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

A beautiful time piece however Casio should have included the bracelet and kept the rubber strap as a backup strap.

@finster444k - I agree; a bracelet would look awesome but would increase the price of this already expensive piece. And I'm glad they had this on a rubber strap, I'm not a bracelet type of person ... even if it's "ordinary" (nothing to wright home about 😉) Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.

show it on dim light or no light at all... does it lum?

@dave guardiano - Good question. It's not very impressive in a "no light at all" type of situation. That's the reason why I showed it in a dim-ish light. The hands themselves are brighter but the hour markers are not very bright unfortunately. Let's just say that I've seen much better lum on Seiko and Citizen watches 🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks for asking and thanks for watching.

Hi Fran. Nice video. 4K? I prefer the SS strap on the cherry red mtg. Although I must say this black strap is nice looking but casio does not make great rubber straps. Is this an exception? I definitely prefer the cherry red w ss. How about your opinion on the cherry red. Ty and u have a new subscriber. Btw oui yogurt my favorite is now 1.80 usd for 5 oz jar. Inflation thanks to Beijing biden.

@Shaggy Man - Thanks for your comment and for watching. As for "4K" ... for now, because of my set up, it does not look great. Thanks for asking. As for the Cherry Red, are you talking about the MTG-B3000? yes, that Cherry Red version looks very good. As for the rubber straps, I personally rather have the rubber strap on my G-Shock watches and this one fits very well (MTG-B2000) ... but I do agree that G-Shock's rubber straps are just "ok". - Thanks again for your comment.

@@timetowatch_francois I think your set up and productions are great. No I was referring to my fav g shock the cherry red mtg b2000. The 3000 w the round case is a step in the wrong direction. ANYWAY YOUR VIDEOS ARE GREAT.

Salut Bess, celle-ci est sortie à la fin de 2020 (Sept) alors c'est relativement un nouveau modèle. Les plus récentes sont les MT-G B3000 mais elles ne sont pas encore sorties. Does this have a battery indicator on the watch itself?

@bikecrazy001 - Unfortunately, it doesn't. You have to connect it with the G-Shock app to view the battery level. However, there is a LBI (Low Battery Indicator) where the second hand jumps every two seconds to indicate the battery is low. Side note: I store my solar watches in a watch box with a clear lid so the light enters all the time. Even if I don't wear the watch every day, it has never gone below "M" (medium). And, on top of that, once a month, regardless of the current charge of my solar watches, I pick a cloudy but bright day and expose my watches to natural light. Just a habit I have. Indeed, no battery indicator on the watch itself. You’ll need to connect to the G-Shock mobile app to see the battery level. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Yes it does, via the second time sub-dial that can be set to any time zone independently of the main/home time. Both times can even be swapped by pressing the light button (B) until you hear a signal (3 seconds) at which point the initial Home Time is now at the Sub-dial. The goal is that when you get to the other location, you swap the two times and get the « main » time at the new location on the main hands. When you get back home, you swap them back. @P_g _gamer - For that, you're absolutely right; the MTG G1000 is an awesome watch with a slew of functionality. The only thing I though about the G1000 was that it seemed too "busy" for my taste. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.

@@timetowatch_francois it's my pleasant to share my view with you.I personally think that they did a jerry build on the upcoming mtg series where gps function is a killer option n play an essential role or else that won't add gps hybrid wave ceptor on mrg if it's not an attraction .

I recall only the GA-2000 having quick release lug bars to enable quick strap changes but they don't seem to have any strap options other than maybe having them send you a replacement strap if the original one breaks 🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

@@Sandipan_Naskar - Thanks for reaching out! I must say that it's holding up great. Two things; 1 - The bezel has an IP coating on it (laser blue) that helps with the scratchproofness and; 2 - It has a slight circular brushing that helps with "hiding" any scratches that MAY end up on the bezel. Note that I wear this one a lot and, for now, I can't see any scratches on the bezel. On top of that, I don't "baby" my watches. I take care of them, but I don't baby them. This one's made to be worn. Hope you have many years of enjoyment with this one 🙂👍🏼
