There is a new development guys. The Galaxy Ring that was first unveiled in February, has now been revealed alongside its charging case.
The images were shared by a very reliable source, Ice Universe on Weibo and was reported by 91mobiles.
The images show the ring inside a charging case. This case bears a resemblance to those used for the Galaxy Buds. It features a pillar at the bottom, and there is a circular indentation an the top that should keep it centered.
Looking at the images closely, you will notice the case and the ring have visible charging indicators.
Going by this design, the Galaxy Ring should support both USB-C and wireless charging options, similar to those of the Galaxy Buds.
If you recall, the Galaxy Ring was first unveiled at the MWC in February, and according to information cited in Samsung’s lawsuit against Oura, it will be sold in the US in or around August.
This also confirms that the Galaxy Ring will be announced alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July.
Meanwhile, Samsung has confirmed that the ring will offer a battery life ranging from 5 to 9 days, depending on the size of the ring. According to FCC documentation, battery capacities will vary; a 17mAh battery capacity for the 5, 6, and 7 sizes, 18.5mAh for sizes 8, 9, 10, and 11 sizes, and a 22.5mAh battery capacity for sizes 12 and 13.
