I'm becoming the manager of a small IT place in my city, and this video has helped me greatly. My side of it will be the Cellphone repair side and it was a guiding video in the launch of my side of the store :) thanks guys this was awesome.

Yeah, that is a super tricky phone. I used to work in R&D of one of the largest mobile phone recyclers in the USA, and we processed truck-loads of used cell phones. Many of them we dismantled, refurbished, reboxed and resold. Made a killing, for sure. So I can say that you guys did a good job, especially considering it was a release-date unit. Bummer about popping the battery. Use some fine grit sand-paper and dull the edges of your pry tool. Round it off, and only use angular edges when you know you will not snag something.

very good instruction. Makes you appreciate that they chose the viewer to observe and benefit from their mistake rather than redoing the video all over again and posting a sanitized version of it.

Great video, helped me alot during first S6 Edge repair. I repair smartphones daily, but when opening a phone for the first time there's always a little thrill.. howerver big tip for you guys: always heat (200 degrees celsus max on heatgun) glued batteries a little ;-) (make sure you keep touching it with your fingers every 10 seconds to check heat. battery can keep up to 70-80 percent of heat untill it starts imploding/getting bigger/disforming. When you reach 40-50-60 degrees the glue underneath will melt/soften and you can easily take the battery out without any chance of leaks!

Yep you can't really replace this screen without any problems it seems all the replacement parts are and or have been useless for most people who've replaced the screens themselves.

Well I fixed it like brand new, had to replace back glass too because it was a chore to get off and I scuffed the white finish off in couple spots, I used multiple videos, this one is pretty good too, customer gave me tip of 57.59 dol, 150 total, I make housecalls and she only owed 92.41, but this thing was a pain in the butt.definitely should have used playing cards to remove the glass lol time consuming, thanks for the vid

It was still flickering at the end. You cut it very quickly so we couldn't see it. Did that go away or is the screen permanently fucked

Did any of you idiots actually listened to what he said!!! He said that they made the video the day after the phone was released so they DO NOT HAVE ANY REPLACEMENT SCREENS. SO they removed the same screen and put it back on the phone!! They just wanted to show you how to remove the screen. And its obvious the screen was cracked and flickering in the beginning hence why it was doing the same thing at the end of the video because it WAS THE SAME SCREEN IDIOTS!!

S6 edge disassembly should be renamed - "A mobile repair guy's nightmare". Shit, I guess 90 % of the service charge would include just the cost of dismantling! And the back cover could get easily bent while removing!

Nice video - can't believe the battery got damaged. The technician hadn't done anything to of damaged it as he was gentle with it. Must be so flimsy & delicate.
@JAYRAY009 жыл бұрын
Good job guys. We're you suppose to take out the sim card tray? Is that why the midframe wasn't coming out? Also, you don't actually show the battery being pierced, the scene cuts at 5:29 and the battery looks like it's already been pierced, as there's a dot of liquid next to it. I rarely use metal tools.
