I love my s8. switched over to android this year. I was a die hard iPhone user. always thought androids were amazing, but was nervous to make the switch. very happy with my decision.

Heather V. Crutchley Same!!!! I finally made the switch from my iPhone 7 Plus to the S8+ . Everything apple does is exactly the same, so boring - there's nothing you can do with the phone so there was no point. After having iPhone's for years it was definitely weird switching but there's so much more to do, way more freedom, and of course the screen on the S8+ is awesome. Even with the iPhone X it will have exactly the same crap as every other iPhone just with smaller bezels not even bezel-less, no fingerprint scanner, and facial recognition that doesn't work

actually, the fingerprint sensor isn't hard to reach, and I have the 8+ 😂. you just have to hold it normally

I agree - It's actually ok, although I wish it to be a little less close to the camera, but after using it for only a couple days, I'm totally used to it. It might actually turn out to be at a better position (being a little higher) than the one on pixel 2. Because the one pixel 2 is so easy to reach and is so sensitive that when I was holding my phone in the pocket, it had actually locked out the phone because the pixel 2 was sensing other parts of my finger, and disabled the sensor after five mismatched scans.

Kryotic-Wolf Same !! I have an S8+ and I think the finger scanner is actually at the best place in case it has to be at the back. You can touch the scanner while holding the phone with the same hand (the left hand). If it was lower it would be harder and if it was at the front it would impossible. I had an S5 before and needed both hands, one holding the phone, one touching the sensor to unlock the phone so no, I don't think the sensor is better at the front. Plus a sensor at the front will get wet if it rains.

It's so ridiculously easy to reach I laughed in the T-Mobile store. I'm only 5'7" and locating the fingerprint scanner wasn't anywhere near an issue on either the S8 or the S8+. People just have to find something to complain about.

@JDog Vids S8 has a new sensor (even if it has the same parameters as the old one) and they worked for a year to improve image processing. iPhone 7 doesn;t have optical zoom, 7+ has double camera setup , not with a zoom but with the second camera with a narrow field of view and very dark optics (unless it's a sunny day it zooms in using main camera).

I got the pink one and it's so pretty! The phone is beautiful on the inside too. The screen is big and clear, the backgrounds are cool. Watching videos and taking photos are a dream! Lovely phone.

They raised the price by $100 not because it has AKG earphone. It is because now all S8 are Edge variant. We are suppose to compare S8 to S7 Edge.

every Samsung phone should be more expensive than any other phone because you are getting a bunch of features that only Samsung offers (or other poorly copy) and in a great design. The iPhone as of the days of 6 and 6plus to my eye are designed like mid-range phone and does not have pro features. It should not cost the amount it does. I'm not looking to just pay for branding, excuse me.

Nickoy1 Channel copies they do(bloatware) like SPay , SCalender, S Voice, S Health, etc which Google already made perfect existing apps for along with the 128GB variant only available at China/Korea, slow/no updates, carrier bloatware if you choose. Samsung is just a bad company, good phone in a way but mostly bad... Really bad. I love Android phones as in I LOVE Android, but I would prefer the iPhone 7+ than that thing... The placement of the fingerprint scanner... 😑, the heavily change OS, and the list goes on. The only thing I like is the battery... Nothing else.

S8 has a 1440px screen, and you can always use the $100 headphones if you want to listen to music. You muy argue that stereo speakers are better but S8's speaker isn't that bad.

MegaLifeChanging the S8 screen is insane and for a mono speaker this thing is much louder than my iPhone 6s was. plus they will send you a Bluetooth speaker if you're in Canada at least. who doesn't have a beats pill these days anyway.

Ok so I'm six months late but the Iphone's models don't match up for Samsung's. For instance, the most recent Samsung is the Galaxy S9 which is still in preorder I believe, whereas the most recent Iphone is the (soon to be discontinued) IPX.

It's likely the iphone will still win, it's storage is one compenent thats way ahead of the competition. Unless of course the UFS 2.1 upgrade in the s8 is more significant than expected.

S8 seems like quite the upgrade from my S6 that has just given me trouble since day one. I like how the battery degradation has improved. I was told the S6 a year ago has a 78% remainder after a year of use. Plus after the note seven you are buying into better quality control.
