Hey there, I'm sorry you are feeling crappy! IT's true, this video, shares strategies to prevent gall bladder pain, and isn't quite useful for an in the moment attack. I did recently learn, however, that sometimes taking melatonin can help stop a gall bladder pain attack. But do get medical attention for persisitent, unremitting pain. I hope that tip helps :)

When my mother was diagnosed with gastric/stomach cancer Non hodgkins lymphoma, the surgeon decided to take her gallbladder out while he was in there. He said something about that way she won't have to have another operation for gallbladder. Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if she had gallbladder cancer and it spread to her stomach. The thing is I'm almost at the age where she started having pain in her abdomen and I'm wondering if it's my gallbladder, because it seams like fatty foods trigger the pain or do I have cancer or both.

Well, it’s 2 am, and I’m currently having my second gb attack in three weeks. The first was after eating KFC. Good news is…I thoroughly enjoyed that meal. Bad news is…I’ll never eat KFC again. This time, husband took me out for Fro-yo. I guess I have to give that up, too. What works for my pain almost instantly is a cup of water with a teaspoon ACV with mother. I sip on this, with at least a minute between small sips. Lean/bend to the left side to facilitate burping. Also, I use the castor oil trick. Small cloth full of castor oil, hot wet washcloth over top, and dry towel over top of that. (I don’t have a hot water bottle or heating pad.) Intense pain has subsided, but my gallbladder is achy. Hoping the castor oil will help that.

Unfortunately, I really can't give you medical advice in KZfaq comments, and this is a question for your doctor/naturopath. However, what I always tell my clients is if the thing you want to try is relatively benign/safe, then there's not much harm in carefully trying it to see what happens. I wish you the best.

I haven’t really been able to identify food triggers. I’m just trying to eat mainly plans, lean meats, and whole grains. I was identified with a 5mm gallstone and the dr is recommending gallbladder removal. At this point, I’ve had pain every single day so I’m willing to do whatever is necessary. I found that when I lay down and sleep, my pain goes away. Once I wake up in the morning and stand upright, I have about 15 mins before the pain kicks back in. I’m trying to find strategies to help with the pain until I get my surgery. This is pretty painful. I’ve been drinking apple cider vinegar and it seems to help for a little bit. Maybe I should either drink more or try switching to lemon juice. I also find that burping also feels real nice which I tend to do more often now.

I was given Tramadol from my Gastro. I only use it sparingly but it takes enough of the edge off the pain to make it tolerable. I recommend asking about it. I was just diagnosed with cholelithiasis a week ago. It definitely has to come out. I recommend you join a FB gallbladder support group. The information is by people who've lived this and they're all really supportive. Now that you have gallstones they don't resolve. They can cause life-threatening problems by involving the liver or pancreas and as they shift should they enter the common bile duct. Your gallbladder can also become infected, inflamed, enlarged. Good luck! Hope to see you in the group.

Gluten is a trigger for me and I also suspect deficient lipase and stomach acid may be playing in. My last attack was followed by infection so I was hospitalized and kept prepped for theater for three days (!) in case they needed to remove the gallbladder. They didn't but they are going to do an endoscopy....and then I think they expect they will need to do a planned removal. Interesting about the castor oil pack helping lymph flow. I definitely find them helpful. Currently taking tudca, lactoferrin and "stone breaker" tincture, Wobezyme N, choline, betaine.....and a few other things haha.

Hi, thanks.....an ultra sound reported all is good except for a 4mm polyp in the gall bladder...no stones, and all the other organs are good. Also states that the bile duct are not dilation and no wall thickening. I do have pain under the right rib cage and sometimes up to my shoulder. Pretty much all the time, cannot figure any food triggers but but diet is very healthy, no fatty, greasy foods at all although I do eat one egg a day...mostly eat berries and veggies some salmon and chicken, black beans. I have thought about the gallbladder flush..I suspect small stones in the bile tract. My pain isn't sever but it nags...walking seems to help. I've read about a study in Serbi that ACV could cause bladder cancer. I use to drink ACV twice a day for 5 years but stopped when I read this bc I had bladder cancer, fine now for 3 years.

I've had one attack, waking me from a sound sleep. I did nothing but remain in bed, riding it out. I had eaten two ground beef tacos for dinner. A week later, with lesser pain, but specically where the gallbladder lies, I finally went to the ER and an ultrasound revealed cholelithiasis. I had already had a HIDA scan done last year and will have a repeat one done soon. It is too late to save my gallbladder and I imagine a lot of people that come to your video already have gallbladder disease when they do. As I understand it from my research only sludge can resolve but only if the root cause is found. I know the risks of removal, life after removal but the risk of keeping it is greater. As far as a "gallbladder flush" not only can it be a medical emergency after the fact but it should NEVER be done, seasoned or not. Gallstones don't just sit idly in the gallbladder. They move and when they do, it can wreak havoc. We cannot predict what a dysfunctional gallbladder will do and attempting to flush gallstones is playing Russian roulette. I know someone who did this whose gallbladder became gangrenous and he nearly died.

I read somewhere also that fasting can reduce movement in the gallbladder which could contribute to gallstones. I used to do IF, started with 16/8 and then shifted more towards 18/6. Did that for about 2yrs. And was recently diagnosed with a 5mm gallstone, which is causing pretty steady pain and occasionally some nausea.
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition 3 жыл бұрын
@@dolliebrown7643 Ow, a 5 cm stone sounds uncomfortable. I could see how fasting might affect gall bladder flow: digestive juices we secrete when we eat help stimulate the gall bladder to release bile. So fasting might allow it to stagnate a bit, especially if done frequently. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your comment!

What if all the symptoms you describe are accurate except the pain is not sudden, it starts very low and increases, it's constant and can keep up for hours, it also gives you very low energy sometimes and when the crisis ends, all the symptoms end. It relates to food or bad emotions or something you smelled. But food is always present and it starts about 3 hours after the food consumption. It's worse if you eat at night and with certain foods like legumes, soya or barley. Fruit and easily digestable foods are ok. And what if you have been checked but found no stones, only the beginning of cholecystitis for which doctors didn't concern at all. But online I found that cholecystitis means you do have some stone in the gallbladder. And now I am confused. Does it sound like a gallbladder attack? I hope you answer.

When using castor oil on or near liver, you may need to use a binder such as charcoal to mop up the toxins coming out of the liver so you don’t get a uncomfortable herx reaction. Also make sure you have several bowel movements a day so the residual toxins have a way to exit the body.

I normally have a little pain but more heaviness on the upper right hand side of the abdomen. Hi Peter, these sound like good supports, good work! I also highly recommend the castor oil packs for this. @@garssympa500 Ok, thanks for clarifying your question. PPIs and antacids can indirectly contribute to gallstones because stomach acid helps encourage the secretion of bile from the gall bladder. Over time, the slowing of the secretion due to low acid may be one reason why gallbladder sludge builds up and stones precipitate in the gall bladder. So prolonged use of your medication could be a contributing factor, but may not be the whole picture. Does that help?

How do you know if it's liver or gall bladder pain?
@ConfluenceNutrition
@ConfluenceNutrition Жыл бұрын
Doctors would probably have a more specific and accurate answer, but I would say that gallbladder pain is typically very crampy, often radiates to the mid back or shoulder blades, and is difficult to tolerate. No position relieves it. This pain is usually caused by blockage of the bile ducts with stones, which leads to infection, swelling, and inflammation. I would imagine Liver pain is typically more of a dull feeling of fullness or swelling, maybe mild bloating. I'm not even sure in most cases that liver pain is possible to experience. An ER doc could probably explain how to assess this in a patient!
