The practice sentence was: "Hello my name is Thomas and I'm typing on a Gamakay TK75HE right now. This was the most uninteresting Hall effect keyboard I've ever reviewed, which is good news!"

there are also other problems if you don't monetize videos- they don't get promoted or recommended anymore, so you basically have to be subscribed to the channel or search for the video to ever find it. This drastically lowers viewership.

Computer scientist here: Google bought youtube to train the AI for facial and voice recognition. The adds were always a grift. When you make a "bot" you have to train the bot. Google AI voice and facial recognition didn't just "appear" they used youtube to train it. I've been trying to explain this to people for years why you tube is free and how to train AI systems.

While the variants of MX switches is absurd (the cost of heavy casea is usually but not always justified given materia, machining and finsihing costs), hall-effect switches are rapidly gaining popularity as more hall-effects PCBs become available. A lot of new boards are coming with HE PCBs now

Wow, I bought DrunkDeer A75 some time ago, when I could not find so many HE keyboards. Now there are so many more. But I am quite satisfied with mine and I even modified it a bit. I really enjoyed modifying the contactles HE switches, since I do not need to be afraid of bent pins and popped out hot-swap sockets.

I like Gamakay boards, for their cheap price they are surprisingly decent. I bought a 65% a couple of years ago, just because it was wired, 2.4G and Bluetooth capable between several devices (which was exactly what I needed at the time) and found that I ended up loving the board a tonne more than I thought I would.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I know what beam springs switches are, and I know about the beam spring keyboards made by Model F Labs. However, those keyboards are *already* available, so that doesn't seem to fit with Thomas saying: "... hopefully in not too long we'll be one step closer to that." I was wondering if there are rumors or expectations that there soon will be MX compatible switches with beam-spring like tech inside, similar to how ZealPC's Clickiez switches (launched in 2022?) have Alps-like tech inside.

It's quite seriously annoying to see "Mercury" in the name of a contactless switch that (I assume!) doesn't actually use mercury. What contactless linear keyswitches are actually now available separately for use in DIY keyboards, if any? I for one would be very interested in a video on what the options are for DIY contactless linear boards in 2024.

I mean, contactless linears are dime a dozen now, but I still haven't found any good dampened ones except for the razer. I did some small modifications to mine (filled the bottom with silicone, lubed the rattly parts and what could be described as a force break mod). It is now crazy silent, especially when placed on a desk mat. I type very lightly, but do bottom out sometimes. The occasional bottom out clack on other keyboards is irritating as hell.

Quite a thocky keyboard which is kind of a surprise. I found out that I don't like linear keyboards so probably not for me, although the silent option might be interesting. But sheesh, an adjustable hall effect keyboard for that price is a steal. A hacker could probably change the background picture of that software and make it look OK. I'd rather have Open Source software though, if just because you can then also use it in Linux etc. In that sense my UHK keyboard is spoiling me.

Then again im currently typing on my laptop that's a membrane keyboard and im doing just fine, maybe I should give this a chance... When I have the money.
