Game Design - Don't let bad luck ruin your games. Whether or not to use the techniques described in this video are up to you. This video describes four different approaches to control randomness and random outcomes in games.
The Match-3 style game featured in the video is from a Ludum Dare game jam I did and is playable here: www.wyattcheng.com/games/Shape...

In XCOM2, with a 95% chanse, you can miss multiple shots. The odds are very random in this game.

Its very fun how software can abstract a concept as randomness, like your marble bag, there could be a marble in the bag that performs another roll in another marble bag that maybe has rarer items and so forth!

Do you have any other videos, like paid course, other then those on youtube? I am seriously willing to pay for your knowledge and it's super relaxing to listen to it.

I don't have any paid courses elsewhere yet (you mean like skillshare or something similar?). It's something I've considered but I'm pretty happy to continue making KZfaq content for now. Let me know if there are any specific topics you'd like to learn more about.

@@candlesan Well, I am not seeking for something very specific, just wondered if there is more of your content (besides twitch). It's great that such experienced person makes youtube content with such value. Reffering to your question: have you considered topic about balance in games? Like the best ways to balance armours and stuff, abilities, currency income, enemies and finally correlations between all of these elements in games before playtesting happen? Maybe first steps in design for that, maybe there is a scheme. Would love to hear something about the topic if there is a chance and possibility.
