Ive got a little theorie. The night king has greensight just as bran. He is way better in it that Bran, so he can predict future events and play in on them. Being so OP means he must have a weakness, else it is just game over. And i think he cannot predict the actions of other superhumans, like Bran or Benjen. So he must have thought that Jon would have died in the fight.

I think Dany is currently riding the line between Aerys II and Aegon the Conqueror. Which is interesting considering there was a quote involving "whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin to decide whether a Targaryen will fall to madness or rise to greatness" (paraphrasing). In this way, we will soon see the ultimate decision of this coin flip: whether with power she will rise to greatness, or fall to madness like her father.

The big thing about Drogon's eye close up for me was how it went from a narrow slit to a wider, relaxed pupil. I took this to mean Drogon was defensive/aggressive when he walked up to Jon and then recognized what was inside him (both literally and metaphorcially), instantly becoming more comfortable.

* WHAT IF? * Lyanna Stark was sticking up for Howland Reed at the Tourney at Harrenhall as the Knight of the Laughing Tree. She also was having a secret love affair with SIR ARTHUR DAYNE and as a young boy Little Finger secretly & accidently saw the love affair between them. At the end of the tourney, Sir Arthur Dayne's best friend Rhaegar Targaryen won the tourney and gave the winter roses to Lyanna as a act of good gester of congratulations - maybe for being engaged by Dayne or because she recently found out she was pregnant with Dayne's child. Lyanna knew that Robert Baratheon would be enraged about the pregnancy as he was betrothed to Lyanna, so she ran away and eloped with Dayne to Dorne and eventually to the Tower of Joy where the baby we know as Jon Snow was born. Little Finger told them that he saw Rhaegar kidnapped & raped Lyanna as a revenge plot on the Starks and create chaos for him to rise during his master plan. The whole war was a misunderstanding and caused by a lie by Little Finger that nobody can prove.......except Bran. ;)

What do I want most of all? Sansa to die. She took Joffrey's side when he tried to kill her sister. She lied to her King about Joffrey trying to kill her sister. She chose Joffrey over leaving King's Landing with Ned. She lied to cover up Little Finger's murder of her Aunt. She lied to Jon about Little Finger. She didn't tell Jon about the Vale Knights. She undermined Jon in front of everyone multiple times.

Omfg it was literally SO jarring to watch this episode because of how in the past they've established how long it takes to get anywhere. This episode it takes literally seconds for Tyrion and Davos to get to King's Landing and then go back to Dragonstone? OK. I think narratively it could be argued that this means "the world is getting smaller" but obviously the writers just realized they're running out of episodes LOL.

Question: I've noticed that the rock the Night King is standing on when Bran see him in his raven vision, is similar to the rock seen in the previews for the next episode (#6). The trailer makes it look like members of the magnificent seven are running toward it, like its their "safe" spot, where they make a stand against the wights. Is it possible that these two scenes are at the same location?

Correction: Stannis is more like Dany. Dany burned people way before Stannis ever did for not bending the knee. Dany also had a legal claim before Stannis did. Dany was more forthright before Stannis was as well.
