Game of Thrones is one of the most successful tv shows ever (?) and I I have not only watched it several times and cannot wait for season 8 - guess what - I'm rewatching GOT from the very beginning right now :D
But I have also read all the books by George R.R. Martin.
No wonder this customer project unintentionally turned out to be a Dragon Hardscape and for this, I have called it the Game of Thrones Aquarium. And you can debate in the comments either the Dragon Hardscape is Drogon or Balereon .... 🐉
You can find all past and future Social Media posts by looking up for #dragonhardscape or klick that link here / dragonhardscape
As I don't really touch base about the hardware in this video, I gonna skip it at this point and will give you a full review about it later, just ask me for this in the comments, to make sure I know you want it ;)

You work so hard on these videos Jurijs, it’s greatly appreciated. This one was really interesting-great technical detail about your use of scale between the large and small bits of rock, and useful overview of your planting scheme. In the beginning wasn’t sure about the dragon concept with the manzanita wood, but once the scape was finished, it completely changed my mind. I hope you’re able to revisit this tank once everything has grown-in? Great work Jurijs.

Hi Jurijs, love the scape, the manzanita wood looks amazing and the dragon concept really works well. The graduation between the sansibar and the mini landscape rock is brilliant ,looks really natural. Definitely one to do a follow up on. It’s a shame the customer didn’t upgrade the tank,so many bad scratches in the glass which would really annoy the hell out of me, but when you don’t have the funds then i guess you have to make do with what you have. All in all a great looking scape that will look even better once all the plants mature. All the best,Martin

Awesome video Jurijs, beautiful tank very dragon-like indeed haha! Definitely try it at home, perhaps do the opposite and do sand + wood in the middle, then the rocks and soil+plants on the outside perimeter. I duno, just throwing out ideas, could look like a grassy field with a "dragon fossil" in the middle or something Anyways I'm wondering if you could give some insight (here or maybe in a future video) talking about the sustainability and maintenance of the various styles of aquascapes. I've had planted tanks for many years but they were mainly "fish first, plants and scape second" type of tanks. Over the past couple of years I've started to really get into proper aquascaping, experimenting with a few low and high tech nature style scapes and most recently I've been planning and building a 150L diorama style scape, playing with trees, scale and depth. During this process I find myself looking at lots of scapes online for inspiration and plant selection and many of the most beautiful scapes I have seen happen to be contest winning scapes from around the world. However, the more I dive into it and really look at how these scapes are put together, the plant choice, plant placement, livestock, filtration, lighting etc, I'm struggling a little when I think about how some of these scapes will be sustainable in the long term. An example that I commonly see in many of these scapes would be placing classically higher demand plants in areas that are completely shaded from the light source or the opposite of low demand/slow growing plants like anubias/mosses/buceps/java fern being placed high and directly under the light source, with both these things often occurring within the same scape. Yet these scapes seem to have incredibly healthy plant growth at all parts of the tank, I mean when the parts of the HC/DHG/MC carpet that's completely shaded by a moss tree or an overhanging rock seem just as green and robust as the unshaded part of the carpet, I kinda draw a blank there. Thanks in advance, love the content, looking forward to more videos!
