That was a highlight of the first two eps. That and Pod's song. Music has been a huge part of this show, in fact I'd say the music has done a lot of the emotional heavy lifting over the last few seasons, when the writing has gotten poorer and the characterisation weaker. The scene where Bran says 'he;s the heir to the iron throne' and we pan in on Jon's face is soundtracked so beautifully. Half the punch of that scene comes from the music.

I watched Endgame. I had seen the leaked plot before-hand, So it was just great. Because i knew what i was going to see. But GOT, no-one knows what's going to happen next. There's no fucking leaked plot or script to get 'spoiled' from. Hence yes, I am hyped for GOT more than anything now.

But that doesn't mean the quality of the movie is good. Infinity War was OK. Endgame was decent. But there is not a single superhero movie that can OUTMATCH the level of drama and emotion of a series like Game of Thrones.

Season 8 Episode 2 is now one of my top three episodes in the entire series of the show. I loved it. It actually makes me very uneasy for all of these characters. Who will live? Who will die? Who will simply walk (or fly) away?

In the cave with the Three Eyed Raven Bran asks something and he responds with something like "you will never walk again but you will fly". That comment, even more than the dragon-fire comment from S8E2, makes me think Bran will warg into a dragon.

As much as I like Grey Worm …..I do not see him surviving to take Missandei to any beach and protecting her people. Although it would be a great ending for Missandei and Grey Worm. Gendry is toast. He had meaning as a baratheon bastard, but jon/dynaeris re much more invested in taking the throne, even though Jon doesn't really want to be a ruler. He had sex and he's made the weapons. He's done. Might even be Gendry chasing Arya xD Her being pregnant entered my mind as well, but with 4 episodes left and no real role for the child... Makes it kind of a non-event. Perhaps if they fast forward a bit after the battle, you'll see her holding a child or something like that. But I don't think so xD

Everyone thinks Gendry will die because he has no more use, he made the weapons everyone needed and now the creators need to kill people, so he’s high on the list of people they could kill. Also seeing Arya in a loving, married relationship with a child is bizarre

Except Ghost was very prevalent a couple of season's ago, esp at the Battle for Castle Black as a large ferocious beast and was almost twice the size of the "white dog" in this episode. The Direwolves were a major part of the Stark family since season one and now Ghost has become a docile house pet and Nymeria was just sent back into the woods and forgotten.

Richard Stanton I believe the producers have tired of killing dogs/wolves and that Ghost will survive and remain a force to be reckoned with. They were vital in the books. No reason to think Ghost won't save some lives here.

It takes a shitload of money, time and effort to put in the wolves and without the mental connection between the Starks and the Wolves, they don't really add much. Of course it would be better if they had included more of them, but as far as story mechanics go, they don't add a lot. I liked Summer defending Bran and the gang, but that's basically all they can do for the show: Fight off potential threats, or die while trying to do so. The dragons are far more integral to the story, but they've been minimised for the same reasons. What Richard says makes sense too. At any rate: they will never be able to please everyone. Like episode 2 either gets the cold shoulder, or is lavished with praise.

I think one twist could be the Gold Company with turn on Cersei and E. Greyjoy. There was a subtle hostile slight set up between Euron and Gold Company commander...just a possibility.

Aside from the whole war situation, a baby would solve everything. That is the biggest threat to Dany getting the throne after all: Jon's claim to it is better for both the reason he's the true heir and the fact he can father children! If Dany cannot have children, no matter how much she wants the throne and thinks she deserves it, she'll have no heir. So, if they have a baby together, everything is solved. They can get married, rule together over Westeros and everybody will be happy. It is the perfect cheesy finale and that's why I hope it won't happen...

Exactly. Isn´t this something anyone with half brain can see coming? I think more interesting twist, would be more conflict in this. I think it´s important to remember that Jon, has always ended up getting positions he didn´t want. Which means that he can very well, end up having to claim the throne. Despite not wanting it. If Dany, f*cks up. And he starts to see that maybe she won´t be such good queen/ruler after all. Or if the situation demands it. That is more exciting and more conflict filled angle imo. At the end of the day , there prob won´t be throne anyway. But I rather skip the romance clichées.

And of course there is the Kraken which will come out of the Winterfell hotspring to protect Theon as he tries to protect Bran from the Night King.
