This was incredible. These women are incredible!! I remember Zina's Wimbledon run to the Finals. The way all three of their careers and lives have overlapped is amazing.

Shoutout to Zina, Lori & Chanda!!! Love em all. But Maaaaannnnnnn did Venus & Serena change the game! Power, athleticism, big serving and mental toughness were Next level. But what about Not playing junior tennis. Going pro and playing Half the tournaments of the other pros. Taking time off to rest their bodies to avoid burnout? Have fun? Partying as youngsters? Finish school! Pursue entrepreneurial and business outside of the sport? Stuff we take for granted that the Tennis Establishment absolutely scoffed at lolololol. But they got results and kept playing, and other players and coaches watched them. Took notes and started trying to emulate their path. Legendary!!!!

I am SO happy that they had this conversation about the endorsements. I was just talking about this with someone the other day who doesn't know the history that we (as fans) all saw unfolding in real time. The money was thrown at all the other players...even to the ones who weren't even winning! So glad that things are *starting* to change.

Can this Conversation be the start of a Netflix documentary on the rise of Black Excellence in Tennis History and how each generation made it possible for the next...Please?

Damn was Serena tired or something good lord . Did she want to be there or be in the bed .Serena to me has always been kind of an understated interviewee . Just not very exciting . Almost like she feels she’s too great to really engage to make an interview exciting, especially an interview like this one . These 3 great black generational players . Rubin looks really beautiful . Much love to all of them .

Serena is always very mellow in real life versus her on-court energy
