One of my favorite things about video games is stepping into a completely new world - a world of magic and wonder that we’ve never seen before.
It’s one thing to roam the halls of Hogwarts, journey through Middle-earth, or explore the vast landscapes of Hyrule, but finding an original game that captures that same enchanting essence is, well…magical.

I've got this game, it's wonderful. And for their first anniversary, they dropped a huge and FREE DLC/update. Really a gorgeous game that has platformer elements, ARPGs, and little bits of games like Pikmin sprinkled in. Really worth a playthrough.

Here's what came with the First Anniversary Update (which was released back on September 27, 2022: The Anniversary Update is the biggest piece of DLC for Kena: Bridge of Spirits to date, including New Game+, Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, accessibility features, and more. Available for free on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Game Store, the update is also part of the expanded Kena: Bridge of Spirits launching on Steam.

@@RetroRaconteur omgosh please do! It's dated now of course, but Fable 2 in particular was my first RPG and what got me hooked on the genre as a tween. Mind you, Fable is.. peculiar. The crude British humour tends to divide people, you either appreciate it or consider it cringe as hell lol. While I consider it charming in its' own way, the magical world was what drew me in. I fondly remember my excitement upon discovering my first Demon Door. There are a lot of systems which had me 'whoa, this is a thing..?!', in a way I didn't feel again until RDR2. While RDR2 is of course on a whole other level, even replaying Fable games for the so-many-eth time years later I discovered new things. I could keep raving lol, but yea please do give the games a try! Would love to watch you experience it on stream!

This Game is fantastic. And it isn't too easy in my opinion. But you can really get into soulslike territory on the higher difficulty lvls.

Yeah it’s nice that it has the difficulty options. I’m on the middle level right now, but will need to beat it on Master to get the platinum 😬

How hard do you feel like combat is? I feel like my daughter would love this aesthetic, but she isn’t very into combat lol! It’s a great looking game, tho!

There are several difficulty settings! The lowest one is called “story.” My son is playing on that and loving it.

The game is just stunning isn't it.. When you see flashes of Taro in the lighting.. Goosebumps! Combat was a lot more difficult than anticipated. I put it down after getting my ass handed to me for the 100th time, but this video is making me want to pick it back up again! Maybe just on a lower difficulty level this time lol. It was fun to watch you explore the first forest area. I play games in the same way "Nahh I'm not following you yet, I'm meticulously exploring this area first!". Did you know you can interact with your little Rot buddies? Super cute :). Anyway, I'm excited for this Let's Play series! Can't wait to watch the next ep :D

Definitely a fun one to play, but would love to have you watch here too, haha. It was free on PS Plus a few months ago (not sure which system you’d be playing on).

Definitely watching this time 👍 looks really nice! Also in case you haven't played it but I recently played Horizon forbidden west & it's my favourite game with some of the best visuals just like this game.

@@RetroRaconteur exactly what the other commenter said. Like a Pixar cartoon. They feel childish to me and I’d rather have graphics like the games New World, Black Desert Online, Skull & Bones, Cyberpunk, Hogwart’s Legacy etc… Games like this are an absolute hard pass for me. It’s like that Zelda game people liked…. No thank you.
