What's your favorite dumb thing about Far Cry 5?

I absolutely love how they handled the Prepper Stashes. Along with just about how they handled everything else in this game. Getting rid of the minimap and making you uncover it by finding maps, talking to people, reading street signs, and flat out just exploring the map on your own. Just was so much fun and now I never want to see a minimap in anymore games that I play.

They did an excellent job. I'm close to 100% and I'm restarting once I beat it.

Far Cry 5 9/10.

I will say from my personal experience at the beginning of the game I wasn't impressed at all with what it was trying to do. It seemed really dull and boring and just generic in general. But the more I played it, the more it grew on me and now I'm glad I stuck with it because this game is really awesome. Despite it being AAA, I still definitely believe it's an underrated gem and it deserves a lot more credit then it's currently getting.

I am just under 4 hours in the game and so far loving it. The gameplay is terrific, and my god... those graphics are insane! It looks very realistic a lot of times. And well optimized too, it will not have any problems running above 60fps ultra settings on a mid-range pc. This game is a graphical masterpiece from Ubisoft.

I love the fact the story ending is so unpredictable too. Most other shooters you can pretty much tell what's going to happen by the end but this game throws you for a loop

I dont want to shit on this game but the title of this video is debatable as hell.. the world building that was done in Origins is top notch and Ubisoft's recreation of Egypt may be the best game world Ubisoft has ever created. The level of detail, the depth of the characters, the narrative, the combat, and the breathtaking visuals. This is a great game but to say its their best ever is a streeeettccchh...

the world is perfectly crafted. NPC's and story are pretty well fleshed out. Addition of planes and helicopters are greatly appreciated. The game begs for attention. 9/10

Origins and Far Cry 5 have been pleasant surprises!

The only complaint i have with the game is that they removed the knife, and that enemies automatically fall out of vehicles when they get killed. Other than that it is an awesome game

The takedowns are very simplistic compared to 3 and 4. The gun-jamming is still absent. The self-healing animations (you know the ones) are missing. APART FROM THAT, this is on par with FC2 which is my fav FC game. Its a genuine effort from Ubisoft to create a 'personal' experience. Loving it till now.

I am thinking of buying a PS4 especially to play the Far Cry 4, 5 and Primal games. The big bonus is that I will be able to play Cyberpunk once it is released in 2077.

Watching Cheeseburger the Bear chase an 'augmented' wolf, forever going in circles around a small house that I'm sitting on; either trying to kill that damn wolf myself, or yelling at Cheeseburger to 'get the lead out' and get that last damn wolf ! But that wolf keeps a few paces ahead of Cheeseburger and myself keep missing my shots on that Wolf LOL - Good Times !

I miss The Lobby and Reboot.

GTA Without Mini Map is sooo good!

Absolutely loving it. More Bethesda like with the prepper stashes, actual side quests(that are fun and well put together, instead of a host of mostly fetch quests like Origins). Makes me excited for the future of Ubisoft open world titles. The next AC game(which is rumored to be set in Ancient Greece, please god)and next Far Cry need to learn from this game. Ubisoft can seriously become the next Bethesda at this rate. I love how there is no minimal or anything like that, no markers telling you what’s where. You explore the world and find this stuff on your own. I haven’t felt this immersed in an open world game since Morrowind.

Best Open World Farcry? Maybe. Best Open World Ubisoft? No. AC4. Dumb Fun, Dumb Gameplay, Exploration, Interesting Aesthetics.

Bring back lobby with no Peter brown

The game is a solid 9/10 if you like open world games, this is a must play. Only reason it didn’t get a 10 was because of the endings. Felt like they got lazy when it came to that, all three were disappointing. Other than that the game is amazing.

It would be fun if not for all the bugs, the least fun villains, and the fact that they decided that periodically the bad guys somehow instantly capture you no matter where you are for obnoxious bullshit. But otherwise the game is solid fun and finally being able to experience full coop in a far cry is awesome.

I think FC5 and Ghost recon wildland is on par. But the companion AI is better on the ghost recon But one thing i hate from FC5 is the ending, all off the ending. You just basically cannot kill the boss.

I love Ubisoft titled games like AC and far cry of course and they're some of the best if not the best Ubisoft has to offer but it makes me sad knowing in terms of creating an open world game, they'll never be on scale with Bethesda.

Farcry 2 really went above and beyond with minor details that you just know took many hours to perfect. Throw an explosive near a tree and watch the brances come flying off. It's possible to trim a tree with a shotgun in that game. Little details like this is why I think FC2 IS the best in the series. Story wise, it was pretty "meh", leaving much to be desired. Hopefully such detail can make an appearence in future ubisoft games.

In my opinion the open world in AC origins in vastly superior to fc5. I loved fc 5 and I think its glorious in its chaos and loads of fun but Ac origins was majestic in its reconstruction of ancient egypt...ultimately i think both worlds suit its own gameplay genres and stories..if someone considers fc 5 better than Ac origins I think it boils down to gameplay preferences rather than the world

My favourite Far Cry is a toss up between Metal Gear Solid V and Horizon Zero Dawn. This one is a decent effort too.

Ok, very funny...

The world is nice but I just find all the bugs and glitches take me out of the immersion...

So this is the part i don't get. The game get's praise for the bugs and glitches that happen and because of the fact that they didn't care about giving a good story to it. Yet other games will get bashed for it during a review or a video like this. Now i'm not saying anything bad about the game because i haven't played it. But whats up with this? I think Jim Sterling made a right call to sarcastically say something like: ''It has no towers to climb so it's totallyyyy different.'' Because it does feel like these reviewers are basically looking at that and treating it like this game plays completely different then a Far Cry 4. Again, haven't played that either (last one i played was 3 which was amazing) but they look very a-like minus the setting.

Am I the only one who likes the story?

Far cry 1 is one of my favorite games and I play it back to this day I installed hundreds of mods to it and the base game was just mind blowing when they released it . Far cry 2 was just really bad boring the villain was shitty too . The whole game was shitty but it was at least better than far cry 4 . Well I tried several times to beat far cry 4 but no success. The only thing I liked from this game was pagan min . Far cry 3 , well I like almost everything from this game the map editor is one of the things i love it so much the characters vaas is just evil , the graphics , the weapons everything . And now far cry 5 this game is perfect I can’t even find a bad thing and I tried hard I couldn’t even find a single bug . The only thing is I can’t understand the map editor yet . They say it’s better than 3 and we have so much potential with it but I can’t understand how it works yet . The graphics are just perfect, the setting is perfect , I can’t talk much about the villains because I’m on johns region right now with 2 resistance levels . But from what I’ve seen far cry 5 brings everything to a whole new level . The intro was sick the father is my new fav far cry villain right now , john seed is just sick too . The game is big and I can’t even explore 1 region not to mention about the whole map . It took me exactly half a day to finish the intro and the tutorial island . And then I played 3 hours only on arcade and I can’t believe how entertaining that game is . If I need to classify all fat cry games from the best to the worst it could be : 6 - far cry 4 5 - far cry 2 4 - far cry primal 3 - far cry 3 it’s close as fuck to 1 and 5 . 2 - far cry 1 I couldn’t place it on the 3rd place I just have special place on my heart for this game . 1 - far cry 5 it’s just too good and I can’t place far cry 1 above it its just too old no matter how good it is .

I'm really enjoying it, but I am also extremely dissapointed.... My favorite part of the game is the AI "Friendly vs. AI" etc. --- Was hoping they'd IMPROVE on the artificial intelligence system in the game... But they didn't. My teammates are constantly freaking the fuck out, and as hilarious as it is... Come on guys.
