Thank you for this inspiration to exercise more often and in better ways. Same to the commenter that shared their routine. I regularly walk 2 miles a day 5 days a week but I feel it has done nothing. I have to do less walking and mire jogging, and more classics like push ups and sit ups.

They said they're still going strong with consoles and so far there's only like 4 titles they've talked about. When it comes to consoles, Halo is definitely their biggest console selling franchise so it's 100% Halo will not be seen on anything else than Xbox/PC. Also worth noting, Playstation boss announced PS exclusives will start going multi-platform as well because they're not meeting their expectations on console and games sales. Not even close to their expectations with consoles, actually.

The 4 unannounced xbox titles are just the start. It's obvious from listening to the podcast. They're very cagey with their language on that. You'll keep seeing PS games on PC, later. And also PS live service games, eg; Helldivers 2. There's no reason for Sony to put Playstation games on Nintendo or Xbox hardware. Microsoft are doing this as they're last and need to try new strategies.

Got over 700 physical 315 digital 360 games and over 100 system link doubles most were $5 or less before the pandemic 360s were $50 each back then so I got 9 😂 can’t wait for my next LAN party 🥳 good times Xbox 360 is still king best part is you can listen to your own music on any game with ease.

Xbox expanding their library is good for everyone. Both Playstation and Xbox lose money on sale of console, they make their money off the titles, and Xbox with Gamepass even moreso. They expanded gamepass to PC as well. I think them expanding into Playstation a bit, just adds more places to pull income from without the initial loss. Then have the digital consoles available if people want it, but they have been going more and more digital for a long time. I saw the consoles being more and more unneeded when I started being able to play Gears 5 on my phone XD I kind of lean towards retro what I want in hand, new releases digital for convenience, and if it becomes something I'm really empassioned with, get a collectors one that I just don't open.

I’m an Xbox collector it’s never been better games are super cheap but selling them would be less profitable of coarse another thing I would note is that because Xbox games sell less some titles will be more rare and valuable in the future the sales on other consoles is about profits nothing else!

Great job on the weight loss Rick! Keep it up man. Keep in mind that weight fluctuates, you also maybe carrying some waste and maybe even building a little muscle which can increase your weight. Keep doing what your doing and try to lower your daily calories intake and you will see a difference! Cheers

I had the exact same issue with weight loss. Week one was geeat (water mostly) week two and three gained weight but then it kciks in and you should kose around 3lbs per week

My first thought is ... are gamers running out and buying an Xbox to play Hi-Fi Rush? I played the game and enjoyed it, but I buy more than 1 console. For those who don't, why do you buy a certain console? I'm guessing it's to play with friends who have that same console. With cross play however even that is becoming less & less important. It's a wild world out there! I really don't have a preference as long as it benefits the consumer. This week I've been looking at a few PS2 games and am amazed at the multiple choices 20 years ago. We had college baseball games! And a multitude of baseball games in general. It seems the innovation and variety isn't as strong as it once once (and yes, I do agree, some of those games weren't very good).

I buy a PC, so I can avoid the predatory and addictive nature of the console market. Most of the worst industry practices seem to revolve around consoles, children, and online gaming. They built addiction mechanics right into the xbox w the xbox rewards "quests." (Rofl, Shameless). I don't consider a console to be a viable purchase anymore if my goal is to support good companies and not support greedy, potentially harmful ones. That said, the PC space has lots of BS all of their own, so it's a tradeoff, not necessarily an improvement. I mean, we have bloatware launcher issues, drm issues (PC exclusive), always online issues (just the same as consoles), and even an artificial console war of our own courtesy of Epic games. Generally though, PC provides the freedom to work around issues, instead of having to take what you're given. Just thought I'd share, since you asked. I generally see less addiction mechanics on Steam or in the titles I play, and I don't have to pay for multiplayer on PC unless the game is the type of game I don't want to play or support anyway. Console gaming is a lot better if you are still trying to play EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Activision, Etc., basically any game from one of the big terrible game companies, you have a major advantage on console, you skip a lot of the PC problems associated with those companies trying to worm their way into your machine. If Xbox or Playstation jumped headlong into actually promoting mouse and keyboard, supporting it fully on their platforms, they would shave some customers off the PC market. That is the move. I wouldn't be surprised if microsoft works on this, since they already push themselves on windows. They could just continue to deliver cookie cutter hardware with that slight cost advantage over PC, and that slight tech advantage over Sony. Nintendo is off in the corner picking each others' butts due to the kind of money they make, with their customers happy to pay more and get less year over year. Just thought I'd mention them and their greed infested, 60 dollar ports and rereleases as well for sake of addressing the whole trio. Cheers!

Pokemon Silver has had a HUGE IMPACT on my life. Growing up, we would play it on the Gameboy Color for hours on end out at our cabin in the summers. Gosh i wish we could go back to those times. Literally immersed into the game. No stress, no phones, no internet, just living in the moment.

The difference between PS and Xbox exclusives is that Xbox exclusives are created by Xbox studios. So if Xbox exclusives sell for PS, Microsoft still makes money. Whereas, Playstation exclusives are made by outside companies and playstation holds exclusive rights to those titles.

Glad to see you keeping up with the exercise journey. When I reached level 40 in November of 2022, I had decided to keep a daily routine to help keep active and trim up my physique. Every morning when I wake up, I drink a bottle of water, no coffee, no energy drink. Simple bottle of water. Then I do 4 sets of sit-ups and crunches. I'll brace my left foot on my bed frame (right foot flat on the floor) and do 15 sit-ups then brace my right foot up (left foot flat, and lay flat on the floor) and do 15 more for a total of 30. I'll stand up, stretch my arms, legs. Drink some water, limber up, and start another set of 30. I've been on this regimen for a year and 3 months now and I have trimmed back down to wearing my size 30 to 32 jeans again without them having pudginess over the waist line. It also has helped definition in my chest as well. I feel a lot better about my look and coworkers have noticed I've trimmed up and look healthier. I do this every morning, 4 sets and before going to bed 4 sets. I've also just been drinking nothing but water for nearly 4 years and I'll drink one zero sugar soda a day with dinner. Maybe have 1 zero sugar energy drink occasionally if I need a pick me up. (I forced myself to sobriety, as I had become to dependent on drinking alcohol to deal with my stress and life situations I've endured in the past. I'm going 4 years strong next month of absolutely quitting and making better choices since.) I've also been on a pescatarian diet for 14 plus years now and quit smoking cigarettes for over 9 years. I thought I would share a bit of exercise tidbit I do that maybe could help out. The sit-ups do help and just keep pushing the mentality to doing it for your health benefits and to do it to be around and healthy for your kids too. There are days where I may feel worn out from work or stress, but I'll do my reps regardless. It's become so routine for me now that I don't feel right if I don't at least get some sit-ups in. Keep keeping on guy and I hope you keep a strong will to keep staying fit. ✌🏻✊🏻

Carnivore/18-6 fasting basically skip breakfast.... Once fat adaptive you could even push to 20-4 fasting or consider keto reintroducing foods back into diet. Rule of thumb avoid seed oils, sugars, and basically any ultra processed stuff

You forgot that the weight gain could be something as simple as extra water weight from too much sodium OR it could be muscle gain. Never think that just because you gained a lb or two, that it’s automatically bad. I have a scale and app that tells me all the particulars. Water weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, etc.

alot of it has to do with pc ports i think. you can play alot of xbox games on pc now , like halo, forza. probably the next gears of war. so they are already kinda multiplatform. going onto ps5 will just help boost community, and it will probably also have a gamepass for playstation eventually. i dont think the console will be going anywhere. it makes sense for them to keep it as they will offer the best service/ package. but they will just be tapping into the ps5 market for extra funding of games. example you buy gamepass for xbox and pay a bit more for pc too. but ps and pc gamepass may be 2 different subscriptions. i wish some playstatio games were at least pc, like the new final fantasy. i also wish some nintendo franchises sold the licence. gamefreak only makes pokemon. wish more people did, pokken tournament was great, but i think it really suffered from being bound to nintendo and i doubt we will be getting another one.

Does that mean Sony's gonna see some releases for older gaming properties like Gears of War? I'd be ok with that! Remaster them and release them on the PS5, PLEASE! I'm actually stoked to see what happens now. I strongly dislike Microsoft as a gaming company but I did like some games like the Gears series.

This video is a little old pertaining to Xbox information. I personally dont own anymore modern consoles . i have had no interest in PS since the ps3 . i have long been a fan of Xbox and Nintendo. And will always be. But as of 2024 i am just really enjoying my "cartridge based " retro consoles and games . its what i have the most fun playing and that is truly the whole point of gaming....FUN. 🎉

As of now, they've only said it'll only be 4 titles, but this isn't anything new. The Ori titles both came out to Switch, for example.

Microsoft owns so many studios that they're already one of the largest publishers on the Sony platform. But MSFT sending Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves to other platforms is not a surprise. I think Hi-Fi Rush is going to sell really well on the Switch. Sea of Thieves had 7+ years of exclusivity on the Xbox. The reports of MSFT exiting the hardware business or sending major exclusives to other platforms was not accurate. It's also important to note that Sony has been doing the same. Their long-time MLB the Show exclusive has been on Xbox for a while. Also, many of Sony's largest franchises are available on PC now.

Retro Rick, I'm doing the low-carb thing and it's working out great. I started at 304 lbs at the beginning of September last year, and as of today, I'm at 259 lbs. I know it can be tough at first, but once you establish a routine, the results will be rewarding.

Xbox are not quitting the console market. Quite the opposite. We're just not sure what their strategy is yet. They're aiming in some way to be the gaming version of Netflix.

I’m no expert on the gaming industry, but it might be more lucrative for Microsoft to develop and then license their games. The process of designing and building hardware is incredibly expensive, so it’s much cheaper to put more emphasis on game development rather than trying to compete directly with Sony and Nintendo.

Personally I think they see a big market in PS/Nintendo that they can make money off of with their gaas titles. Like Phil also mentioned porting smaller titles that have run its course like hi fi rush, pentiment and others can find another boost with players from ps/nintendo. Only time will tell if Microsoft truly pulls the plug on Xbox
