People need to realize that Premier had to PAY for a lot of Guru's content on this album because Solar didn't want to give it up. He doesn't care about Guru's legacy or the fans. Premier did this for the fans, out of his pocket. Respect the most high, Premier thank you from all of us that used previous albums to get through tough times.

The first song I heard that opened my eyes to the great world of rap was "step in to the arena", I was mesmerized. Guru and Premier...ah man! What a duo! Even the first concert I went to was with Gang Starr. Stuck in my mind forever. Cool to see his son in the video. And for real...its just like seeing him. You have the same look as your father! @@CelineCatalina98 Yea that album was pretty good but the only reason it wasn't a total mess like the other posthumous albums was cause he had already recorded at least half the songs on there. If you listen to every track you'll notice how subpar the ones that weren't made by him are in comparison to the ones that were actually supposed to be on the album.

Well you have to remember Guru didn't die that long ago. I'm not sure EXACTLY when he recorded this, but the "change" started in the early 2000s. So he was definitely aware of all these weirdos.😂

Some exceptions obviously but most of the stuff getting airplay was straight-up garbage. I never thought it would get as bad as it's gotten though.

Preemo, I’ve told this story a couple of times in different comments, but you might read this one. Someone put that Full Clip 2001 promo tape in my trunk after a rave one night and I found it the next day. I started listening to it and was hooked. I started to teach myself how to dance. I would put it on my parents’ stereo and open up the front door and dance on my front porch for hours in my trailer park. You and Guru are the reason I know good hip-hop when I hear it and Gangstarr is still the standard of how I judge good hip-hop and lyrical style. Guru was a beast and cared for his craft. MC’s need to take notes. Big up to you, Preem, for educating Guru’s son about his father’s legacy. Coppin’ the new cuts for sure. Oh and this track is fire!!!!!!

David Rodriguez Jr oh that’s a fo sho right on, 😂. I’m blessed to have been turned on to Gangstarr back in 2001. I just downloaded the new album and it’s so 🔥!!! I also downloaded Full Clip. As soon as I heard the first track, it almost brought tears to my eyes cause of all the memories attached. RIP, Guru. Big ups to Preemo for doing the damn thing again like always;)
