I remember the first time I ever heard Guru on a track. I couldn't believe what I was listening to. The fact that this man isn't mentioned with the greatest rappers of all time is an absolute shame. Guru was an absolute lyrical genius, the guy was 100 percent ahead of his time. A true rap God

Hearing this song as it debut while in my office made me smile and cry at the same time. When you love family that you miss so much it’s easy to recall all the experiences you’ve shared. Growing up in Houston, I eventually would find my way to the sounds of DJ Premier. Heard his collabs with Nas, Rakim, Jay-Z, etc., but I regret not coming across Guru and Gang Starr work until after Guru passed. Dude was indeed gifted. It just made me miss real hip-hop even more.
