She def has, she is waiting for a short Ball and not going for reckless Winners and When she has a short Ball she calmly puts it away without too Much risk, and her defense has gotten so Much better she Gets every Ball back but she could work on slicing with under pressure or putting a High Ball or throw in some variety in different situations her game is still monotone and that dosent work against top players unlike Muguruza today

No it's the same pattern. Nothing has changed. Giorgi only knows one thing and that is too hit the ball too hard and harder. She does well on little tournament but when it comes to the grandslams it's either she makes it or she does not. She has the shots but she does not have the mental fortitude. She needs to change her attitude and her tactics. She goes for lines but miss alot on the big points. It's 50/50 for Giorgi. Consistency is something she needs to work. She may do well on Eastbourne but she will play bad in Wimbledon. We have to see.

This is the best that I've seen Giorgi play. She's so wonderful and mesmerising to watch when she's in the zone and playing her powerfully brand of tennis so fluently.

the arrogant nasty one is Mugu. I think Camilla is just responding to how arrogant has treated her in the past. Arrogant one is Mugu and she has issues with Cornet as well b/c these smaller women have out played her when Mugu thought she was all that b/c of 2 lucky Majors .

Astounding how hard diminutive Georgi can hit her ground strokes. Remarkable really. Muguruza is a much bigger woman and yet she is mostly on her heels. Overall I believe Muguruza is a more solid player but not today.

Muguruzu is a great player but her technique is not the best, when compared with the elite. Her forehand is all arm. But she has a fantastic attitude and her backhand, serve, volleys and court sense are great. Her biggest weapon is probably her mind...she rarely gets down on herself.

@@cupidslover3 actually, Muguruza has experienced down period with her mental game for a stretch of time. She talked about it recently that she lost confidence a few years ago. She finally just recently got her confidence back and able to win again, notably the 2021 WTA Final. And her problem isn’t technique. After all she had won two Slams before, one of which was Wimbledon. I think she being 28 now and being on the taller side among WTA players, her movement has slowed, particularly on grass.

You'll be waiting a long time. She has a great power game, but I think she needs to add an element of touch to round out her game. The way she plays, every problem is a nail, and therefore every solution requires a hammer. Iga has much more variety to her game, just like Ash before her.

@@sirblanka I know there's been a lot of noise around this point, but, I would just point out that she's nearly the highest she's ever been ranked. In fact, only on the 6th of June this month she reached her equal highest EVER ranking (#26 in the world), so she's obviously doing something right. And by extension, so is the coaching side. But, that doesnt take away the fact that she could make some technical / tactical changes, which might take her higher still. She's currently one win away from again being #26 in the world, so it's not as if her level is the worst it's ever been. Far from it.

Nice win for Giorgi! Although Mugu hasn't looked like herself this year. Every tournament I'm expecting her to go deeper. Hopefully Wimbledon. If Giorgi's is on she can beat just about anyone. It's a shame she never had a coach (not counting her father) I believe she would have won a major if she did. There is zero variety to her game, no slices, no drop shots, no variety at all! A good coach would have taught her that. It's all power with her, which is great but you need to keep your opponents on their toes. Love to see her go deep at Wimbledon! Good Luck!!

love how much trouble the Giant has against average size or petite ladies. Mugu all about posturing and trying to intimidate with her stature. She has been beaten by Alize, Ostopekao, Yulia, Riske, Trevisan, and Camila so far this year. So much for the 6' giant being a dominating presence on tour.

For such a petite stature Giorgi really seems to generate maximum torque on her swing. Her effortless racket head speed is sublime. So quick and explosive, yet short to contact. Just wish she played with a tad more fínese.

Her father Sergio who studied medicine - an ex-Argentinian Marine who fought against the British in the Falklands War and was lucky to survive - has done a wonderful job training Camila to physical perfection however not having ever played tennis hasn't done much in relation to teaching Camila a more tactical approach. Sergio, an ex soldier, doesn't believe in defense but only in all out aggression. Camila was only 5 years old when her Sergio made her do push ups face down on red clay for 5 months without ever putting a racket in her hand. Needless were Camila's tears and Sergio told her that if she wanted to be a tennis professional she needed to suffer. Camila was only 5 years old. A year later Camila's older sister died in a tragic accident in Paris and this made her even more introverted and people exchange this for rudeness. Camila doesn't mix with tennis people, mostly artists, and she speaks 4 languages. Her game will always be hit or miss. When she is on a good day there is no better sight on the court.

Garbine doesn't even resemble the player that ran through the WTA Finals. She let Gorigi intimate her. She wasn't really convinced that she could beat Gorigi and everyone knew that. Garbine is in real trouble she'll be out in the first round next week.

Mugz is done. She's now slipping into slower movement, and things will only get worse without good footwork and positioning. Sh3e's just not generating enough power on her serve to get the free points that she needs to stay competitive. At her height, she should be hitting 180-190+ kph. Instead, she's around the 150-160 on average, with only a few higher than that, and her serve consistency was terrible today.

She can thank her agent for all the commercials that he lines up for her, he makes sure he is getting commissions. ching ching $$$ at the expense of her performance. Some of these businesses are fools , and will realize it later. Its great they can get extra money through endorsements, but how many is enough. If she is greedy and he is as well, they will keep going and she will earn less winnings.

Camila is a Powerhouse, the classic player that in a good day can beat anyone in the circuit (except Iga). Her ball speed is unmatched. These highlights tough are a bit disappointed since they missed all key points in the second set.

J'ai dû m'absenter pour aller manger au restaurant mais j'ai enregistré le match. Muguruza this year has become such a defensive player. She is not the one dictating at all or moving the ball around. With her gamestyle, lack of mobility and variety, defensive or even counterpunching tennis will not work. Giorgi on the other hand is finally finding abit more consistency. I just wish she would add abit more variety to her game. If she is unable to hit through the opponent and keep the UE low, she struggles.

Mugu has no will to win. Hard hitting but no definitive strategies and directions. Opting out drop shots and relying on errors of opponents instead of smartly thinking her next move. Her mental focus is out of whack. Too much IG and FB glamour stints take their toll. She needs to train hard mentally or change coaching team. Otherwise, she will be playing like an amateur. Kudos to Camilla for a superb win!
