problem with perfect clears though is, you either have to be considerably faster than your opponent if you're doing loops or have crazy perfect clear knowledge to do longer and faster loops. like a 8-6 loop is pretty slow, but a 4-4-4-4-4-4-4 is fast but requires much more memorization and/or intuition.

it's not that tetrio quick play is that hard, more like it just punished every misdrop and missed attack when someone is targetting you

The disadvantage of that would be that you barely send anything. At high levels of play, sending a mix of messy and clean garbage will secure wins since both of them have strengths and weaknesses.

That's a T99 tactic, because of mechanics like margin time. Past 14 min of game time in T99, sending 2 1-line combos results in the max attack possible of 12 lines because of line cap. Don't think it'll work in Jstris.

well you see that 4 high red bar on ur board. it comes in immediately, instead of slowly building up like a combo would. it is also a skill to screen watch ur opponent so u always know whats going on.

like at 2:50 the bar goes from 0 to 4 instantly, instead of maybe 1, to 2 to 4

@@speechless1883 do you mean that a line an opponent clears in always a clear line as garbage? so for instance if they were to clear a tetris the garbage would be completely straight, but if they gave me the same ammount of garbage by using a combo, the garbage would be messy?

@@baksoBoy yep. just like how perfect clears will send 10 lines of garbage, but it will all be in a clean column. a combo will send many garbage holes scattered around

If you want some advice - I got better by just loading up PPT and doing non-stop 40 line sprints. I went from 5 minutes to about 1:30 over the course of a month or two. Really helps you learn fast stacking without the pressure of PvP.

its usually much easier to increase apm through efficiency than it is to increase speed. There are some things you can do to increase speed, however they may not grant the results you're looking for in terms of apm growth.

(Since you can't really tell tone through text, I'm wondering what needs to be explained here, not implying that you're bad) What don't you understand? Down-stacking is something you'd do if your board is about to top out, and it's basically just clearing lines as fast as possible to clean your board before you top out. In most tetris games, clearing a tetris gives 4 lines of garbage to your opponent. When the garbage is sent, it'll be put in queue until you place a block that doesn't clear a line. The more lines you clear before it actually gets to your board, the less damage it does. What Garbo is saying is that if you cancel some of the garbage out, you don't get as much garbage, which, when lined up properly, can allow you to strike back with a tetris. So if you're going to receive a small amount of garbage, let it come so you can combo easier. If it's a large amount of garbage that will put you at risk of topping out, counter it as much as possible so you survive.
