It is one of the best garden nurseries nearby and they have everything. They have another indoor greenhouse with many other indoor plants, pots and planters, etc 💚💚💚

It’s good to know about them. So sad to see all the nurseries, specialty and regular, that have disappeared from the greater Toronto area over the last 10+ years. 😢

Lol, so much to see and you didn’t tour the inside 😁. Have you ever done the behind the scenes greenhouse tour in the spring? Very interesting.

VANDERMEER is had such a big selection of plants for indoors and outdoor gardens…and I only did half of the nursery. Yes, I would love to do the spring tour behind the scenes. It would be so fun to see how they do things. 💚

Thanks for the lovely tour. In your garden tours I don't recall seeing butterfly bush before. Have you ever planted them (full size or dwarf)? There seem to be some non invasive ones out there now.

I planted them at my previous garden but they never did well. I tried planting them above soil surface, etc but they always seem to get killed by our wet winter-spring. I think our large pile of snow bank that melts in spring makes the soil too wet and drown their roots? I do love them. Hope you have better luck planting them.

@@TracysHomeGarden thanks Tracy! Another question, some of our hydrangea especially bobo and pinky winky shed lots of yellow leaves right when flowers are forming . I don't notice this with limelight, prime, quick fire and other varieties I have. They are all in their 3rd year. All fertilized in spring. Any clues as to what it could be?

The roots may not get enough water. You may water enough but the roots may not be able to soak it up so it is unable to distribute the water evenly to all the foliage during blooming. It sends water to the blooms and has to sacrifice some of the foliage - hence leaves turn yellow. This usually happens to newly planted plants or plants that have roots that are not fully established. I say to be patient and wait for another season to find out.

They don’t do great in our area (Toronto) though I’m in zone 6 and they can survive here, but die back down over wi get. Definitely not invasive here.
