Hello Chere! Hope you are having a truly lovely weekend. Thank you very much for spending some time with us to enjoy this week's Saturday Showcase all about this beautiful garden rose corsage. You asked about attaching it to clothing so we went back and watched the show again. Leanne mentions, "Pin it on for a very contemporary corsage" so we take that to mean that it uses a corsage pin to hold it in place (although there might be a way to attach a small magnet like they do for name badges and such). The joy of this flowers to wear piece is that it is quite simple to assemble and it has a splendid style. How would you pin it as the stem is impenetrable? Would going up and over be secure enough? Would it be too heavy?

Pin over the flat wire close to the blossom and that should be perfectly secure.

From behind the lapel / fabric, pin over the flat wire close to the rose, then tightly back under the fabric. Second pin lower on the flat wire would add stability.

How would you make one for the groom? Would make it easy for all the no-bow crowd.

Use the same technique just with a smaller bloom.

FlowerSchool. Thank you. I’m making Boutonnieres for 8 men for our daughter’s city hall wedding with regular red roses. Will make it much quicker. Doing wrist corsages for 8 women using the glue method. Making a garland to decorate 2 tables at the small reception dinner based on your videos though thinking about greens to use. Love your videos. Have helped so much with learning and deciding what to do for centerpieces at big reception as well as smaller after city hall. Thank you for your ability to help us DIY crowd to feel confidence to be creative with flowers.

what's your secret when working with floral glue and NOT getting glue on your fingers. you make it look too easy:)

Cold glue does have a way of getting on your fingers. Try squeezing the opening with a pair of pliers so that it becomes and oval. This will help restrict the flow and hopefully make it easier to work with.
