I’m very interested in learning how Laura will pivot the mail videos next year. While its very generous to see people send boxes & boxes of mementos - at the end of the day, where does one put/store & use all those items? There are a lot of very special items sent to Laura from people's own personal Etsy shops and small home business and I for one would never have heard of them if not for mail time. I think so many folks are so appreciative of this channel and want to show that appreciation through gifts-that’s a beautiful thing; however, I get overwhelmed just watching and thinking about managing all these gifts. A solution might be for Laura and Aaron to share a list of charities for people to donate to, there are so many people in need, especially now with the pandemic, this seems to me a really positive way to re-direct all that kindness :)

It’s a testament to how much your viewers care and want to share gifts with you, but I agree with others that the gifts are too much. It would be a beautiful gesture if viewers gave to a charity or family in need in their own communities in your honor. Or to a favorite charity of yours, Laura as some have given to the Children’s Nursery in your community. I support your choice to stop the mail times.

Makes you wonder though, if they quit doing mail time videos, and the gifts stopped, how many of those gifts were given with sincere intentions and how many were given just to get attention.

while I am sure you appreciate everything you receive, I am sure it must be very time consuming to deal with all these gifts. Even your parents have to deal with them since they are sent to there store. with new baby coming you have to make decisions on how to best balance work with family. Personally I think cutting back mail time or getting rid of it altogether is a good idea. A lot of people are saying not to get rid of it, but they do not have to take the time to film and edit and than take the time to most likely donate most of the stuff. We love you but you need to do what is best for your family. Happy Holidays

Love the act of kindness idea. My company gave each employee $10 which doesn't sound like much and asked us to bless someone else. They then shared what we each did. It was so heartwarming to hear of kindnesses to single parent families, the elderly and charity.

I know, that's what I was thinking. I send gifts from the US to New Zealand, and I really try to keep the weight down because even the lightest packages are expensive. A lot of my gifts are of the photo/paper variety, haha!

I can understand how overwhelming all of this can be from constant delivery vehicles, holding storage, filming and final storage. A suggestion: perhaps you could lay the items on a table in the new studio and just scroll the camera slowly to show all items received each week and show at the end of recap video.

I think that’s a wonderfull idea!!!! The mail has to be opened anyway but doesnt need to be filmed and edited. Watching your mail time videos for me is like looking through someone else's family photo albums, I just love it. Instead of dedicating an entire video to it, divide it up throughout the week, open a few every day. I have ordered a lot online and I look at all of these boxes as free food for the compost bin. I am not sure if it is realistic for you to keep everything you receive, however there is a wonderful place in your town that has families in need. With your first you think "omg this is my life, forever, IM SOOO TIREDDD" or when they go through the whining phase or no eating phase, or whatever phase because there are many! we waited 7 years to have our second and it does feel good to know every phase is such a short season to get through!

The possum magic book had me!! It was my absolute favourite book as a kid, the illustrations are magical. My mum still calls us kids (and all other children) ‘possum magic’. I can’t wait to read it to my future children and I sincerely hope your babies get as much enjoyment out of it as I did. Oh and the book ‘Wombat Stew’ is another Aussie classic!

I lost my baby in November of this year watching your videos has helped me with my depression . Because you are always positive and happy and motived for the next project. I hope one day I will have the ability to obtain and plant things like you do . Merry Christmas.

I am so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. I wanted so badly to have children, still do, it never goes away, that I can understand how painful things are for you. May you be blessed with the joy of a child again soon. ❤

It is so awesome, and I'm sure so overwhelming to receive all that fan mail. Everything is so wonderful, however I agree with many of the comments that MAILTIME may have to go, its sad but I understand. You have new priorities that are number one in yours and Aaron's lives.
