Otto Rehagel's achievement is momentous considering how even though the players were good (Giorgos Karagounis was an amazing player and so was a huge chunk of the defense) they wpuld never have won the Euros without him. I honestly don't think we know how good a manager Southgate is. Literally any manager with some coaching badges is going to win most of their games as England manager because of how good the England squad is compared with most of the teams that you're going to be regularly playing. However, he's not an upgrade on ten Hag and surely if Man Utd get rid of ten Hag that's what they'll be looking for.

He is one of the best and most legendary 5 German managers ever winning the Euros, three German championships (one with a nearly promoted team he lead to promotion), three German cups and one European cup.
