Like it or not, carragher is bang on about pogba. For me, he's been another veron, obviously class, amazing player, but for some reason it hasn't worked. In Verons defense he had to break into a midfield of Scholes Keane, Beckham, Butt, and he had some amazing European performances. But pogba has lived off a few united highlights and his reputation of how he plays for France. For a manager who was a striker in his playing days, his constant trust in MCFred baffles me. A midfield pairing that totally lacks creativity or flair: how are they supposed to create chances for the lethal front line that he has at his disposal? Bruno constantly has to drop deep to take the ball off these two in order to make forward passes. The worst thing is Fred cannot defend either!! So what does he contribute exactly? What is his role? In the last debate video when scotty said that ole has won us 177 points and lost us 170 I thought that really put it into perspective. That’s middle of the road and that’s not good enough. Coupled with that, Neville is right about Ronaldo not pressing, he never has, we have one of the worlds best assets and we’re not using him properly. I think the system needs to change, akin to how Conte went to 3 at the back at Chelsea. Now, everyone will understand the value of Rashford in team's shape and success. Because we haven't transitioned the ball quickly from our defence to attack, we haven't seen the success of the team. With Rashford in the team, we get to skip our slow and less-creative midfield to the final third in seconds! How many times didn't we score goals with just 2 or 3 passes from our defence! The Caraboa cup was a clincher for morale to spur on the team for more silverware, he should of created a better opportunity and after that loss i was disappointed especially lip reading what he had said to carrick that was a strike for me. They all move the ball around in patterns and find creative passes and moves. They are properly coached to do it and they shift the ball around QUICKLY. In comparison I watch United players take 30 minutes to decide on a pass. That will not change under United’s current coaching.
