Another straightforward review…Gaz has understands what most diners want.. no overblown theatrical nonsense.. decent grub and proper service.

Wow Gary Blacklock a place i must go to next time im in London, like i have said before first impressions do it for me, and as soon as the plates came out you could tell it was quality, (maybe they should tell Beefeater about there meat supplier) That Gravy was dark and amazing, clearly made from meat juices and with care and attention to detail. Another great review. The food looks phenomenal. I was eating a cup of instant noodles while watching this and regretting my life choices (well, as far as the cup noodles go anyway). My weekend starts tomorrow. Now to convince my wife to go out for chops for our weekly dinner date...

Love their Blacklock City restaurant near Monument. Their ‘All In’ mixed grilled chops menu is such good value and really delicious, and I can’t get enough of their dripping chips with onions and gravy for dipping 🤤 Never had a bad meal there and a really nice vibe. Only complaint would be the lack of dessert options, but I’m usually too full to even contemplate a dessert so I’m not too bothered 🤣🤣

Can tell the servers enjoy working there just from their body language in the background, very good sign. Will have to visit this place, cheers!

Four of us visited the Soho branch of Blacklock's Chop House last Saturday, thanks to your recommendation, and we were not disappointed. Three of us went with the all in one, whilst my wife had the halloumi. Though the chops, steak and halloumi were really good, two items on the menu stood out for me: the whole sweet potatoes, which were amazing, and the white chocolate cheesecake, which was simply outstanding. I have often had steak and chops which equalled those I had on the night, but I have never had sweet potatoes or cheesecake that good.

Hi Gary. I watch another channel called Alexander The Guest. He also takes us on gastronomic journeys. He does so in the finest, Michelan Stared establishments all over the world. I taste the food and expierience these places through him. Their tasting menus often cost north of £300 with accompanying wine tasting menus costing the same. I see you as a man of the ordinary people. You take us to places that we can afford and actually imagine eating. I actually get hungry watching your videos which doesn't happen on the other channel. Keep up the great content.

Hi Gary, great review as always! Blacklock is famous for its Sunday roasts which I strongly recommend. You should come back and do a review on a Sunday (they are very popular so you’ll have to book at least a month in advance)

After seeing this review I booked a table at the Soho restaurant, fantastic basement setting ….I was looking forward to the chops …however on a Sunday they only did Sunday roasts , but what a roast fantastic. All I would say is if you want to sample the chops don’t go on a Sunday …I guess I’ll have to return for the chops…keep up the good work Gary

Good to hear of a great recommendation so glad you enjoyed it, if I may offer a little tip, when you are summing up at the end try not to stand in front of the competition's sign as it may confuse some folk, always try to use a neutral background or the restaurants frontage itself other than that a great video, stay safe and cheers
