Gas cap r on both sides in America. I mean really... your gas gauge should have an arrow pointing to what side it is on.

Replace gas cap and I would check evap system like the purge valve

Please check the condition of the fuel pressure regulator and observe if there's a black smoke coming from the tailpipe.
