@@Monkemonkemonkemonkemonkee On a bike it's pretty intense. The buffeting was so high it was slightly blurring my vision. You need a strong neck to cope with those speeds for any length of time. Steering becomes very stiff and changing line takes a lot of effort. Best to stay going straight ahead! Oh, and the distant curve ahead is on you before you can blink. It's an awesome experience. Fastest I have been in a car was around 150mph. I cannot afford cars that go any faster than that lol. Well, as for your upcoming journey, your first lone trip will be the best you ever make. Regardless of the speed you drive at. Drive safe and learn your way to getting faster! Please.

@Hennessey Venom F5 We're talking 300.4 "STANDING MILE" vs unlimited NASA runway length of 310. AND the M2K went 300.4 "IN 5TH GEAR. Never even got into high gear. Bugatti and Koenigsegg both say their cars will go over 300 mph as well, but they need the full length of the Mulsanne Straight at LeMans to get there. "Standing Mile" vs an unlimited NASA runway equals tomatoes vs oranges. We need a showdown, either the BADD GT gets to 300.5 in a standing mile or the M2K car comes to the NASA space center.
@bobkonradi1027
@bobkonradi1027 Жыл бұрын
@Hennessey Venom F5 M2K has nothing to prove. they went 300.4 in 5th gear at the Texas mile, and the other guy went 283. In fact, the same day they went 300..4, they backed up the run with a 299. What's M2K got to prove.? In fact, there is a video on KZfaq which has a camera inside their cockpit during the record run, and the driver's Heads-Up display shows their car exiting the timing traps at 306, in 5th gear, before he backs off the throttle and pops the drag chute. When the other guy goes 300.3 or 300.5 at the Mile, then its time to bring their car out of retirement. Going 300.4 in a standing mile in front of some calibrated timing clocks is much tougher that going 310 on an uncalibrated clock on a Boeing 747-carrying-a-space-shuttle runway of unlimited width and length. As I pointed out in my previous post, we're comparing tomatoes and oranges. One is one and the other is the other. Anybody who knows cars also knows that you can normally go faster in 6th gear than in 5th gear, and going 300.4 in 5th equals around 330 in 6th, especially if you get a running start and have several miles of pavement to get up to speed. As I further pointed out, both a Bugatti Veyron V-16 and a Koenigsegg can get up to 300+ mph, possibly to over 310, but they'd need the full Mulsanne Straight at LeMans to get there. You and I will bench race interminably until both cars show up on the same day at the same course under the same rules and settle the grudge match. Until then I'll look at the BADD GT saying his best time at the Texas Mile was 283, and the videos showing the M2K at 300.4 in front of some timing clocks. The M2K is State of Texas certified to be street legal, and the BADD GT says its also street legal. M2K ran on racing gas, and I assume the BADD GT did so as well. Personally, I love bench racing. Also, BTW there is a video of the M2K car at either an Indianapolis or Columbus, Ohio car show, the show is over, and the M2K is easily moving out of the show under its own power, moving out to the exhibitors parking lot, to be loaded back into its transport trailer. The car is acting mild, no problems, just like it was grandmas old 1960 Falcon. Probably could easily drive it down to a local McDonalds if they wanted to.

@@Sir__Pumpkin1100 it's the Bugatti Chiron Supersport and the owner didn't stretch it, Bugatti designed the Chiron SS with a long tail and dual-stacked exhaust all for aero reasons. It needed to exceed 300 on a two-way trip(it did a 1-way trip) to achieve the record. World of difference between the two vehicles, the Ford was built by the customer and the Bugatti was all factory built. I prefer the factory-built one that comes with a pretty warranty.

The only thing that gets me here…..The built for top speed version of the Bugatti Chiron is hitting 303 with 1479hp….. why are they requiring 2700hp to go 310? I know the level of resistance is not a linear…..but there’s no way you need almost double the horsepower to get that extra few miles per hour. Now I understand it takes a ton more power to get to that speed quickly(think top fuel dragster) but the Bugatti reached 303 in a very similar time to the GT reaching 310🤔

Let Jay and Danny swoon over some rare exotic, you haven't seen either of those guys come close to some of the shit RR has done. ( has either one of those guys ever broke the cannonball run record? First off a production car is a new vehicle a b production cars do not carry parachutes B you show me a production car and you can run on the street for parachute to come that way from the factory and I'll give you all the props in the world till then there's not really much anything to discuss the record is set and you can Google it is the Bugatti 300 plus at 304.77 mph the closest American rival set established record if the SC tuatara with a top speed of 290 mph user production cars they do not have parachutes they weren't made over 15 years ago they're brand spanking new cars

Wishlist/Challenge List : 1 Drag Racing with Königsegg, Chiron and Stock Car, Indycar in the Kennedy Landing Space Center, 2 Getting some record in the Road where current Fastest Production car got it, and some fake it. 3 Doing it in some Salt Flat Lake with the usual rules of two rules, standing mile etc. and some moondisk hubcaps. 4 Wouldn't be nice to make some aerodynamic comparison or explanation with similar Land Speed Record cars from around 1930, can't believe the body (and brakes) of the Ford GT can wistand such speed and energy without a real tail fin, any low drags improvements, neither some active aero and not begining to fly or bounce... 5 Wouldn't be nice to see BADD GT beating a NASCAR stock car or indy car going around some OVAL race track (if possible).

Incredible achievment and I am not taking anything away from that , truly congrats , Ford Gt is my faveorite supercar and ride along in a supercar so far , but to claim that title , it states that you would have to do 2 runs to average it out , one run going against the wind and one run coming back , its why Bugatti's 305 mph run didnt count cuz they did it on a test track 1 way only and I am huge Bugatti fan , 2 friends of mine where even there at your run in their Bugatti Chiron , Hapy Hipi tim and his wife , so in my mind Koenigsegg still has it cuz they did 279 mph on a actual highway in nevada , SSC tuatara doesnt count since they lied about it , even thought they did get the record on 2 runs at 289 , again I am NOT being negative , just objective and curious thats all, so I am asking doesnt it have to be 2 runs , I dont need hateful feedback , my disablity takes care of that for me , so let it be known I still think was truly historic and an a amazing feat

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, which smashed all the marque's previous records, pushing through the seemingly impenetrable 300mph barrier in 2019. To achieve this feat, Bugatti's 8.0-litre W16 engine has been tuned to create 1,578bhp - 99bhp more than the standard Chiron. It has also gained extra cooling for its engine and gearbox, along with a host of software changes. Aerodynamic upgrades have been just as critical to its high-speed run, most notably a 'Longtail' rear end that's added 25cm of bodywork to smooth its airflow. The ‘enhanced’ Chiron Super Sport 300+ hit 304.774mph at the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany. ALL ON REGULAR OCTANE FUEL NO NOS ETC.......
