This scramble is hidden behind the campsite at Grange in Borrowdale. It's a beautiful spot and a very quiet route. It certainly gets you away from the crowds for a couple of hours and is a real hidden gem. We only saw one other person and that was on the walk down!
The difficulties vary a lot depending on the line you take. There is something for everyone as long as you can read the ground well and know what you're doing. The route takes a couple of hours and really would seem to need dry conditions to be done - the line we took would be iffy with more water. The difficulties are broken up by pleasant rock hopping and easily bypassed if you're not feeling up to it.
