I'm a nurse working on the frontline in a hospital during the covid 19 pandemic. It's been eye opening, and horrifying and anything that bolsters the resolve is so desperately needed and this is one of the songs that gets me into work everyday. Its been eye opening, the people I've worked with for years who got cold feet and quit or found a way onto safer units, and the ones who have stepped up. Its terrifying out there but, we'll get through while the world's spinning out of control

Gavin is so underrated for such a talented artist who has been in the industry,for a while now. He deserves more appreciation and love.

when my wife sharon was dying of cancer i took care of her till her last day i loved her more than anything in this world and im proud to have been her soldier rip honey thank you mr degraw for this special song god bless

He is the NICEST guy I've ever had the pleasure of working with! Always goes out of his way to introduce himself to everybody and talk to everyone. A really down to earth guy.

What a great song, and a great video that celebrates ordinary individuals who have been through/done some extraordinary things with their lives. Gavin DeGraw remains one of the most consistent male vocalists in music today, and he should really get more attention!

Nowadays, I listen to hard rock/heavy metal. I don't like Gavin DeGraw or any of the other artists I used to listen to anymore. However, this song... it'll always have a special place in my heart. I love it.

I am so in love with this it makes me think of One Tree Hill and Naley and brulian and leyton and Quinn and clay!! And all the little peole even though i pobbly wouldn't like i wish it would have showed as Jamie and Logan and all them grow up. I''m happy they used a lot of Gavin Degraws songs. I;m still sad about it being over though............ :(

One Tree Hill is my favorite TV show, and Gavin DeGraw is my favorite singer. He has such a beautiful voice. His music has such an impact on me, and a bunch of others. When I first heard his song "I don't want to be" I knew he had a shot at being an amazing singer. I've looked up to him since 2002. Love this guy.

Mr. DeGraw thank you for your song soldier. My one month old grandson loves it! It's very soothing for him. If he crys play this song and he calms down right away. It's so precious. And as a first time Gran it's a blessing to know your music.
