In this video, I share the awesomeness that is both Michaels & Cricut in this sponsored video with Michaels. With Pride being my favorite crafty time of year, I jumped at the chance to make myself a Gay Pride Greeting Card.

Love your sweatshirt....could have used it when my children were growing up....they still ask BUT I now offer to show their spouses. 🤣👍❤️ The Cricket looks like a fun activity.... especially since the price of cards and pick me up gifts are outrageous.... Thank you for showing us that it can be made easily. ❤️ 🌈

I love that shirt! I used to work from home doing custom sewing and alterations though, and hemming pants was my bread and butter! That was the most common, and easiest alteration and I could make @ $40 per hour just hemming pants. I would just add a line under the phrase: "For less than 10 bucks"

My parents gave me a Michael's gift card for Christmas, and I haven't used a penny of it yet. Guess I need to make a trip for fun rainbow goodies!

I'm so sorry your daughter's feeling down. I think anything you make for Tiffy will be appreciated, because you took the time to make it just for her, and nothing says "I love you!" more than that! This last year must have been so hard especially for school-aged children, being away from friends and familiarity of school. I especially feel bad for all the ones who missed having prom, and all the fun that usually goes with the Senior year. Just thinking back to my Senior year, I would have been devastated to have missed it! That's the year I designed and made my own prom dress, and it turned out great. Two years later, that dress helped earn me a dream job, apprentice to a Dallas haute couture house where we made gorgeous high end suits and dresses for rich women who wanted to look like Joan Collins from "Dynasty". From there, I got to work as an assistant designer at a high-end children's wear company and I was the only designer working there without a college degree. I would have missed all that if I hadn't had that last, awesome year of HS! I also went on a fantastic Senior trip that year with the Drama Club, New York City for a whole week, saw 4 Broadway plays, and met Carol Channing who was on our plane. I got to see a 360 degree view of NYC from the top of one of the World Trade Centers. What a thrill, but the elevator was so fast it scared me. Missing one year of school is a big deal, and I wish people would stop acting like our kids should just get over it. Things are so scary now, I can't imagine what kids are dealing with. I never worried about being shot at school, and terrorism wasn't really a thing yet. We didn't have racial problems at my school, because we had a racially and culturally diverse city. I think it was also the music, we all pretty much agreed that Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Earth Wind and Fire ruled the airwaves and dance floors! I don't understand how racism has gotten worse, 40+ years later. As a teen, I thought racism wouldn't exist when I got old, yet here we are. Sorry for going off on a tangent, I'll put away the soapbox now!

Cute card. I don’t know if you’re familiar, but the front of the card would have been much quicker if you used the print and cut feature.

I really enjoyed this video, but it would have been better if you would have shown more about how you put the card together, what glue you used, etc. Please don't take this as being negative. I'm just giving a suggestion.

VERY NICE!! Happy Pride Month! That's awesome that Michael's has a Pride section! I've loved that store since I was a teenager in the 70s and it was new and my Mom and I loved spending hours in our happy place (and lots of $$). I grew up in Dallas, and I think that's where Michael's was "born"? I wish we had one near me now. All we have is Walmart and Hobby Lobby. I know Hobby Lobby will NEVER have a Pride section! I don't understand their business model that seems to involve having a stick up their butt and treating customers rudely. They may love Jesus there, but they sure hate lots of other things. Try wearing a rainbow mask in there and just feel the hateful glares and rude comments! Mine had rainbows AND unicorns, but I don't think they focused on the unicorns. I've only shopped there twice during quarantine, the second time I wore a cute mask I made that had sparkly fabric with a print of cartoon skulls wearing pink bows with hearts. I originally bought the fabric to make something for a toddler girl, but didn't get around to it (she's an adult now). I got lots of attitude from the clerk cutting fabric. At first she pretended not to see me, so I had to follow her to get her attention and ask her to cut some fabric for me. She did, but never spoke to me, just glared at me and shoved the fabric at me after she cut it. It was weird and uncomfortable, maybe she's just miserable and always acts that way, but that store is not a fun place to shop like Michael's. They also don't have as much real art supplies, most of our Hobby Lobby is stocked with overpriced pre-made decorative items from China.

@@MxDomestic RIGHT?? I love you, man! I'm digging how many businesses are promoting Pride month. I just went on Walgreen's site to fill a prescription, and they've got their logo in rainbow at the top of the page. It looks beautiful, I think they should keep it that way.
