This weeks last episode features Jack Spicer, PhD and a Lecturer in Criminology and Early Career Researcher at UWE, Bristol. For the last 8 weeks Dr. Spicer has been monitoring fluctuations in the UK drug market. Using data, forums and information networks he describes how Covid19 has demonstrated the robustness of illegal drug markets, arguably even more robust than several legal markets.
It’s a unique insight and for his doctoral studies Jack explored the emergence of the 'County Lines' drug supply model and how it was being responded to. This reflects his wider research interests into the functioning of illicit drug markets, drug law enforcement and drug policy. For more info visit: people.uwe.ac.uk/Person/JackS...
