Some 2.54 million Singaporeans went to the polls to vote in the country’s 13th General Election on July 10. Dubbed a “Covid election”, the event - where rallies were disallowed - saw the People’s Action Party retain 83 of the 93 seats it contested and a national vote share of 61.2 per cent.
Besides holding on to Aljunied GRC and Hougang single ward, the opposition Workers’ Party won Sengkang GRC. It now holds 10 seats, the most ever for the opposition.
