I can tell you from handling them myself they are good German screwdrivers. The nule line ussaly is Germany the red is Taiwan or China like stated. Even vessel has a cheaper made in Vietnam line as well so it's common to see. If you like thoes a relative bargin at the same quality is witte. Also a German brand and they do not disappoint and have some good handle options various comfort grips. And I must say I'm almost ashamed that I don't watch youtube with sound 95% of the time just closed captions and your voice is very soothing. Just something to note and gedore is expensive here too if it helps. They make some top notch metal tool boxes for thoes with deep enough pockets and the ones they rebrand the oem they use is trusco (made in japan) so you know there a work of art.

I have heard of Witte before and like the look of some of their tools, they are not the easiest to get hold of in the UK though, unless I am looking in the wrong places. Another brand is Felo, that do have a bit more availability. Not heard of Trusco tool boxes, will have a look and see what they offer. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Trusco are metal boxes made in Japan they have a beautiful cantilever trays impeccable powder coating with a stamped dimple dyed pattern. They do oem production for other brands if it looks like it it and made in Japan it probably is them. The pencil cases are very robust and thoes are a good place to start. I hope I didn't just cost you too much money.

Not bad sets. What do you think about the Chinese insulated screwdriver sets? The one's you always see, comes with the one handle and 10 or so drivers. I bought one 6 years ago here in VN expecting junk. Well, I was a mechanic in my previous career, had Snap-On, Matco, Craftsman etc... This $8 screwdriver set has been great! When I got it the first thing I did was megger them at 1000V and everything was in the G Ohm. Tips are still great, they don't cam out handle is still tight on the drivers, spring clip still locks and I have had other people ask me where I got them. I tell them and they can't believe it. I am sure there are crappy ones too, these are Nesch brand. But they all come in the same red box, red / yellow handle and red drivers. They have a bunch of certs stamped on them, but I highly doubt they are actually certified. I do have Wago precision sized drivers, not a total cheap ass. But for everyday panel work, these are what I use here. I didn't think I would like the drivers with the removable shanks / driver, but when you drive a motorbike and have to carry all your tools in a small bag, this was what I went with and actually don't mind the rare occasion you have to swap drivers. The only recent problem is the rubber on the handle got soft. I do a lot of commercial kitchen work and the cooking oil degraded the small rubber on handle, but that just happened in the last few months. Thinking about buying a fresh set, for what they cost. Maybe something to review? Come up with some insulation tests, torque breaking, cam out testing or something you can think up. All did was energize the tip, and wrap the ground around and around the insulated section. Greater than 4 G Ohm @ 1000V. I don't have a way to hi-pot them. Yes, I do use them on live connections too. Even though a big part of insulated tools in an energized cabinet has to do with accidentally dropping a conductive part in an energized cabinet and not shorting anything. Not just for actual live terminal work. Which more and more places do not let you do, period. Can be a real PITA to troubleshoot. Anyway, I rambled enough and maybe you have reviewed them before.

I have the CT3794 set of interchangeable VDE drivers from Nielsen that seem similar to how you describe. The sets are good for compactness and adequate for most needs. They are stamped VDE and I doubt that they would be sold in the UK if the marking wasn't legitimate. You can search on the VDE website for certificates.

@@three-phase562 Good to know about the VDE website. The ones I have don't come up when I search the database. They have a VDE symbol and a number, but doesn't check out. These are straight form China, so not surprised and not worried about it. I'll definitely keep the website in mind though for future purchases. They sell the same on Amazon in US, bought a set to keep there too.

Just looked on Amazon UK, the Tolsen 13pc VDE set is the same exact thing I have. So many different names for same exact set. But, no complaints, one of the better Chinese purchases I have made. yes, I use the voltage sensing screwdriver too. No color codes here, so makes it easy to find the hot, haven't been killed yet! lol Tolsen does show on the VDE website, but for pliers and wrenches, not screwdrivers.

@@inothome I cannot find the Neilsen version on the VDE website either. I am wondering who the actual manufacturer is and if they hold the VDE certification and all of the other brands are relying on that. Voltage sensing screwdrivers have their uses, they got a bad name in the UK as people used to dismantle them and take the resistor out. The ones I see nowadays are all sealed so you don't get that problem.

I don't skimp on insulated tools personally. I use to work high voltage at times and wera or wiha were the bargin tools for that work. 20 dollars us or however many on euros is easy to pay for the chance the installation isn't right or has a nick in it. We had non conductive screwdriver ls made of ceramic and carbon fiber tips for the bad stuff that cost 50 dollars to thousands for sets. Even on common stuff i will still use my voltclaw(plastic wire pusher) to save my hands with the extra leverage dosent hurt it's safe too. I even have insulated vessel bits for my vessel electric screwdriver because why not? I suggest spending up on a low to mid teir set rather than a aldis/parkside bargin brand.
