James, I am happy that the masses are going out to see original and story-driven films like “Challengers” and “Civil War.” It’s safe to say that those films are box office hits. They’ve won. They’ve beaten all the naysayers out there. The success of those films is good for cinema.

Hey James, thanks to your talking about the sexual delights of watching beautiful, talented women act, I've discovered Melina Mercouri, after listening to yr Wrong Reel ep on Jules Dessan. I watched Topkapi & now I'm hooked. I remember her name from when I was a girl, but your description made me want to check her out. I recently saw a trailer for Three Musketeers- Milady the other day & the sight & sound of the exquisite Eva Green made me commit to seeing the movie on the big screen that I might otherwise have waited till it streamed, if at all. You're never demeaning or coarse about sex or your delight in watching beautiful women act. Though I love women sexually, I also love looking at beautiful men on the screen. For that reason, it took me a while to warm to Ron Perlman 😆 but at the end of the day, a beautiful actors have to be backed by talent, quality script, cinematography & direction etc if a movie is to be engaging & entertaining.

Lies of P is definitely on my must-play list. I always get a little intimidated with games with a heavy emphasis on parries but I've heard the game is one of the best of last year.

@@geekinwithJamesHancock oh yeah it's a great game, great atmosphere. I'm not big on an over reliance on parry, it's in the game but like the soulsbourn games it's not a requirement.

Well done. I appreciate your honest reviews and opinions on art of all kinds. In addition, I'm totally like you, with play style, apparently. I like evading, and dodging, and playing more like a ninja. I appreciated Elden Ring because I hate all these games becoming so obsessed with the peri mechanic. Elden Ring made it mostly an option, which enhanced the fighting so much to me. I enjoyed the challenge of that game, and it was so rewarding beating it, and fighting how I wanted to. I have zero to no interest in being forced to peri every fight to win. Just lazy game design in my opinion. The visuals of this game look amazing though, and I'm happy it's an original IP too.

My parry skills are just good enough for something like Dark Souls 1 but with Elden Ring, I roll all day long and wait for a big chance to strike. That said, it's cool seeing those Sekiro mechanics getting utilized in more games. We're all going to be pros at parrying before long.

Agreed. At a minimum there should be one or two sequels and hopefully an animated show or movie.

I was going to get this game but went with NieR Automata instead for less than 20 bucks (as opposed to 70 for this). I'm content with my choice, i'll likely give Stellar Blade a go eventually when it's cheaper. The Mass Effect trilogy is an all time favorite of mine. Andromeda was not so great and it's a shame. Rly hope the upcoming next one isn't trash.

I'd love nothing more than to play another great Mass Effect game if one could deliver, but another we'll always have the original trilogy to enjoy.

Excellent review! This is an awesome game. And beyond the repeated pattern of everyone comparing it to DMC and Dark Souls, I actually found it MUCH more akin to a combination of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and Ninja Gaiden. Or to be more precise, it's style and gameplay, and adult humor reminded me of Hideo Kojima and Tomonobu Itagaki (Team Ninja), which is absolutely the highest praise I could bestow on a brand new game and hopefully franchise. I suspect that there is a lot of reviews out there giving this game an upper average/mediocre score only to drag down the overall score without being completely obvious as to being snowflakes giving it a 1. Cyberpunk has waaaay worse advertising and graffiti in it, and yet the snowflakes didn't care. Why? Because you could literally make your androgynous female character have a "she"nis.

A PS5 is very expensive. I'd argue that for Bloodborne, buying it is worth it. Plus I think the future is going to present us with a lot more PS5 exclusives.

@@geekinwithJamesHancock Honestly, extremely unforgiving. However, the difficulty regulator for the bosses is the summoning mechanic. It really takes the edge off a few bosses that may be too spicy otherwise
