I'm exactly the same. Grew up in 90s introduced to star wars by my grandad putting on return of the Jedi one summer and I was hooked, had to get the original trilogy on VHS and the toys. Prequels came out and I loved it then when Disney announced star wars and looking at how they did with MCU I was even more excited to share it a d get more content. Now? I really couldn't care less. Force awakens wasn't bad from then but last jedi was a disaster, I remember walking out of the cinema after the way they killed luke off and thinking "seriously, did I just watch that happen? They made a hero of mine a wimp that does nothing and lives on an island, and stupidly he went to kill his own nephew in his sleep, which would be the darkside... this is pathetic". Was hoping it was just a twist on the story of what actually happened for clarity in rise of skywalker but nope. Just went to prove Disneys approach of kill the old and make it our thing. A giant middle finger to George Lucas.

The last 2 episodes will save the entire series. As well as filling in all the plot holes from the Disney sequel trilogy, they will cure diseases, and unlike many TV series, this one will bring global peace.
