As a USN Vet I love this tribute, and it should be played at all military shows ...!!!

This literally gave me goosebumps. The best tribute to the military I have ever seen. Mr. Gene Simmons you this country proud. God bless you!

This represents my mother in my mind. She too was an immigrant to America, and she was so proud to be an American and was so patriotic. She was more proud and knew more about America and American History than any natural born citizen I've ever met. She married my father in Germany and was legally entitled to be in America, but she insisted on taking the test and oath. We studied with her in Guam as my father was in Vietnam. We cried with pride when she passed and took the oath.

As a proud aunt of a young Marine, I applaud and honor this video, each military personnel who participated, the band KISS and their workers. A thank you to the military leaders who sanctioned the performance. Regardless of your political views on war and armed service in general --- war is a fact, there are those who need protection, there are those who answer the call, bravely and with knowledge that their lives can end at any moment. Thank you, each and every military person and their friends and families, thank you KISS for a performance that honors those women and men who serve. And a big thanks to You Tube for creating a platform where this type of honorable point in time can be shared and valued.

I was very honored to have been asked by the Public Affairs Office to be the "Drill Instructor" for this episode of the show. Gene Simmons is a true Patriot and a great man and has a wonderful family. It was a pleasure and honor to be a part of this.

Our praise band played this entire medley at Mass for Memorial Day, having all the veterans and active duty personnel standing for the song of their branch. The entire congregation stood, sang, and clapped during God Bless America! God bless our military! Thank you for this medley, Gene! You rock!

They are tough and fun and perform great entertainment and are thankful for the opportunity given by our troops - toughness and not wavering like our current administration. I realize this video is old (made in 2008), but as the mother of a current United States Marine...I want to thank Gene for taking the time to honor our military personnel. Military life is hard on the ENTIRE family, but seeing videos like this one helps us realize not every waking moment is spent dodging bullets, kneeling next to buddy holding his hand as he takes his last breath, thinking about his family & friends & how their whole world is about to change once they receive the news. Thank you Mr Gene Simmons; for giving so much of your time to help our brave men & women step out of the hustle & bustle of the everyday war zone. You were able transform (in their minds) some of them back to home for a bit time. Maybe even reminisce on a Kiss concert they went to before they were active duty military. Thank you to EVERYONE who made this event & others simular to it, happen for our military!

On May 4, 1945, Thayer and his platoon discovered and liberated 15,000 people held at a concentration camp near Wels, Austria. One of those 15,000 was Flóra Kovács, who later became Gene Simmons mom.
