I am writing this in early September 2023. GM along with the other members of the big three are on the verge of a strike. I saw they were asking for what seemed like a huge raise until I found out the the starting wage of the people in this video is 16.67 an hour when fast food pays very close to the same. The average assembly worker make 18. It’s ridiculous! Support the UAW!!!!

Only Gm product I have owned was a truck. The engine was powerful. Interior was absolutely horrific. Knobs paint flaked off inside on 30k Miles. Door handles fell off, tailgate handle broke every other week.Transmission was rebuilt twice before the engine died. Truck had 145k and blew head gasket. Maybe I just got a bad one but I never stepped foot on a Chevy dealership since.

So tell that to your union, you know the group that is directly responsible for forcing American jobs to Mexico and China as a result of their absurd demands. Funny how companies like Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen, and even the low cost producer Hyundai, have successfully opened facilities in right to work states (without unions) and pay excellent living wages, produce innovative products that people want to buy, while still earning excellent profits for the corporate shareholders (have a 401k? If GM had some foresight and didn’t stubbornly refuse to change along with the times they would’ve been a force to be reckoned with. Remember, they had the EV 1, which was ahead of its time and the lessees ( you couldn’t’t buy one, you had to lease one ) loved those cars so much some went to court to try and buy them when the leases were up. Except for some cars that were donated to schools the rest were destroyed. I bet the engineers who worked on the EV 1’s look at Tesla and get sick.

They chose to try an use their old frames an alot of older stuff to build the same quality an keep them simple to be repaired unlike others who changed their products an designs so much that they created other issues. This brand does need a change an it is time for them to retool an ad some new flare to this brand. An I believe they can do it. Not sure what it will take but I am sure they can. I love all cars an these share alot of parts from their older models up until 2008 I think an newer . So it's nice when u have a wrecked one an you can find one in a salvage yard. That doesnt have like 20 different types to prevent direct bolt up stuff from your previous year models.
@KrustyKlown Жыл бұрын
EV1 was ahead of its time .. because a low cost LONG Life battery tech didn't exist back then. Competing against low cost Gasoline is hard, a vehicle like the Electrovette or EV1 couldn't compete ... even today the current long life Lithium battery powered EVs are much more expensive than the average ICE vehicle .. and that isn't going to change for a long time.

Looks like most of these 'workers' have just rolled out of bed and on to the shopfloor. Why would anybody spend $50k on a vehicle built by them?

I don´t see any problem with these cars, seem powerful, strong, confortable. If you americans call your cars junk, I don´t want to know what do you would call the GM cars made in Brazil.

Jr cc You don't see any problems with GM vehicles?! Lol Just drive one for about 35k-40k miles and you'll start to see things break, fall apart on you. Why do you think all GM vehicles have only 35k mile warranties?! I've seen Chevys like the Cruze, Equinox engines blow at only 80k miles😂😂

@@robbyrob8349 I meant GM America. GM Brazil is called chevrolet, is very popular car bramd here. But, our cars is totally different from yours. Our cars have less power (165 hp, most powerful), while yours are over 200, 300 hp. By the way, the North America GM looks well made because it have a nice interior, most power, and also more safe (compared with GM Brazil). Our new GM car are crap, a car called "Chevrolet Onix" catches fire even when it was parked. And the worse part is that it is very expensive

GM. What’s the story on the 8 speed transmission? Has it been fixed? What exactly was/is the problem? And it can’t just be the oil. They’ve been making good automatic transmissions for many years, so why is this one have so many complaints?.... I literally grew up in GM dealerships, and I’m driving a 2004 pickup that’ll probably exceed 250-300K, but until you stop selling those transmissions or come clean about the root cause and what you’ve done to completely eliminate the problems I’ll never buy another GM vehicle.

I have a 1991 Chevy Camaro V6 Rally Sport. I've had it for several years now and dispite everyone knocking it for it's dilapidated nature and V6 drivetrain, it still gets comments from car fans. Sure it's not a V8 but Its still a fun driving sports coupe. I'm not your typical car guy, I'm actually a automotive industry and engineering enthusiast and I'm not entirely bothered by shallow car nut views. They relent on my views and I just shrug my shoulders and carry on. now recently mice got into the car and chewed the harness to bits and damaged some components around the car as it sat over the winter.. something in the wiring that attracts rodents and the loss of seam sealer made room for some surface rust to have way of it's front floor panel.. But instead of giving up and selling the car I've chosen to keep it, slowly restoring it to a better state than it was in when I first got it. Eventually it'll be done an I'll have my immediate family sign the car in a chrome Molotov pen as a final touch to be added beneath the clear coat on the corner of the rear deck lid.

Why does chevy put the same 5 colors on all their cars?
@JoePro3 жыл бұрын
You want to know the actual reason? Market research. It's what "the majority" of consumers want. The average consumer wants one of 3 colors, black, white, and silver. It's a shame you can't get them made in any color you want anymore.
@andromeda93403 жыл бұрын
It's what is popular these days.you can request a custom build if you wanted a unique color👍
@andromeda93403 жыл бұрын
@@JoePro there are custom builds where you can choose your specs yourself.the cars that they make are actually entirely random and or requested from dealers :)
