Actually, how many generations live side by side in a country, a smaller community, or a family? How do they relate to each other? How could they understand each other in the hope of a happier life? Almost everything has changed rapidly in the last fifty-sixty years: life expectancy, the age composition of society, the vision of the future, but also concepts like respect, the meaning of expectation, or the burden on the mind. The impact of this transformation process on different age groups is significant, leading to tensions between generations.
Krisztián Steigervald has been involved in generational research for over twenty years, focusing on this topic for three years. This year, he published two very useful books to help our parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren view each other not as strange strangers and to turn the often existing cracks between generations into bridges rather than gaps.
In this episode of Friderikusz Sándor's podcast, Krisztián Steigervald, a generational researcher, was invited to discuss many topics that could greatly assist in understanding generations in relation to each other. The expert's answers provide valuable interpretations and cohabitation advice.
