FYI, From what I can tell the gas, or petrol generator is also a flat head, or side valve design which is terribly inefficient like the old flat head Model T's in the 1930's. Plus the principles behind diesel is that the engine constantly draws in its maximum volume of air and then adds the fuel as needed unlike a petrol engine that has to maintain a narrow range of fuel mixture in order for it to run properly. So the only time a gas engine useds it full displacement is at full throttle, not to mention the difference in combustion ratios, stroke length, speed of combustion and differences in torque developed.

At 20 kw load it would cost just under 25 cents per kWH to run your larger generator at a cost of $2.84 per gallon of diesel. That is actually quite remarkable as the average range here in the U.S. is between 11 and 15 cents per kWH using grid power. I'm curious, have you ever put a 40 kW load on it to see how fast it burns the 5 Liters of diesel? I would love to find out and thanks for making the video.
