My father worked on the show and Dean was never drunk - it was all part of his act. All his drinks were either ice water or orange juice. Dad said he was a master at his his mark and making it all look so effortless. We all miss him.

This song was chosen today- 06/01/2021 in memory of Alan Horace Hugh Haylock (1943-2020). A kind, loving and gentle father and partner of Catherine Pearl McNamara (1949-2020), a wonderful and caring mother and partner, who also introduced her son Alan to Dean Martin. Both died within a month of each other and will greatly missed by their sons Paul and Alan. We love you forever. Goodbye, Old Bean.

Dean could sing any genre of music...he is a classic. My family watched his variety show every Thursday evening of each year until it was canceled. I loved it.

Dean Martin was absolutely brilliant, a man of many talents not least his wonderful singing. This song evokes many memories for me, notwithstanding the fact that it was recorded years before I was born. So sad that the Grim Reaper eventually took him from us.......there comes a time when life stops giving and starts taking. I hear that the Angels in Heaven are happy though !!

I remember watching Dino's TV shows - he always made it look so effortless and that he was having FUN!...so the audience did, too. No screaming. No bouncing around all over the place yelling lyrics you can't understand but laced with profanities. Just beautiful music - heartfelt lyrics - and a voice from heaven...smooth and as powerful today as they were 40 or 50 years ago.

This dude just smooths of the edges and delivers every song wrapped up in silk.
