Ed, I have watched all your videos, and now, I find myself watching them all over again because they are so informative and entertaining. Great balance between talking and playing, and I like how you're always so relaxed and actually pretty funny - it never gets boring! Keep up the good work!

I understand. However, as pointed out, I demo the gear I get paid to do. I can only work with the companies that hire me. Genz Benz obviously feels I'm providing a good venue to showcase their amps, so they hire me. It is also a big plus for me that I actually USE these amps, and have for many years. So... I am open to doing a wider range of products, but the companies are the ones that hire me.

Next the 115 please. 2 112's are a nice combination but would love to hear the 210 and 115 together. I like to use the Streamliner 900 with passive basses and the ShuttleMax 12.0 with my active basses.

The 210 and 112 are different sizes, so they won't stack effectively... but you could use them together. A 115 and 210 would be a great little stack though.

@bnCOD - Not likely. I can only spend the time demoing gear that I'm getting paid to do, and the Neox line is old, most likely they don't feel a need to promote it. However, if you go back to my very early (and primitive) videos, you'll see I'm using that cab with a GBE 1200 quite often. They are great cabs, I will say that.

I always liked GB product. Quality builds (IMO) and they always sound great, which is just a BIT important 😅

I would like to see more bass gear companies hire Ed to demo there gear.

Hmmmmm... just got me a Hartke Hydrive 112 and spec looks similar but driver is 300W. NextTag has the Genz benz for $50 less. Maybe I should have waited till the GB is available in the UK. That said, I'm really pleased with the Hartke so far and it too has no touble with a low B String. Really solid, thick bass that always sounds tight and slightly compressed.

@Jaap95 yes original color. i think they started in the early 70's to offer this finsh, George Harrison has a antigua strat i think he made famous in the concert for Bangladesh film.

@SteveUrkeI - Well, so far (a few months) they are definitely my favorite string on the Lull M5V. I use the traditional tension. I'm also trying a 4 string set on the Stingray... they sound pretty damn nice, and they feel great. Neither of those basses get lost in any band.

I think that it would be a good idea you to make a video with the best known basses (fender J/fender P/Musicman/Warwick/Rick etc) so we can hear the differencies between those legends. I think this is the only think missing from your super channel!

@sanwin17 - Not sure if they're going to send me the 15 or 210 Sandy. But maybe some of those new Contour combos will be next.

The 210 looks good, I actually prefer their vertical 210 design like the Shuttle or NeoX210... you can hear yourself better when you use it alone. But, there's nothing stopping me from flipping the Focus 210 vertical I guess. Or you could stack it on top of a 115.

This is as much a Streamliner demo #2, as it is for the cabs. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I love my Streamliner

It depends on your goal. If you just want to pick it up and thump away... go for it. If you want to learn how to play it correctly... best to get some help.

The Rumble 75 is a decent amp for the money.

Hmmm, haven't tried mixing them with Shuttles. The Focus is deeper, so I guess you could probably stack a Shuttle combo on it. They have a very different sonic profile... they will either complement each other.... or not. (I know... helpful).

Ed I notice you do a lot of, well seems like most all, fingering/picking at the bridge pick-up position - which is fine to hear, but it would be nice to hear what these cab can do from fingering at the neck position ;)

Ed, thanks for the demo. Have a shuttle 12.0 and NeoX212. I'm looking for an additional 12 for smaller engagements and to add to my 212 for larger gigs. Where does this series sit in the lines of the NeoX and Uber series. Thanks!

Nice demo! Got a question vaguely related to the video... Noticed that your Lull 5er is stringed with Circle K strings... Heard a lot positive about them and i was wondering, are those worth picking up? Price seems reasonable, but i'll loose a leg and arm in shipping to europe, not to mention tax! That aside, keep up the good work! Always excited when i see a new video of yours pop up in subscription box :)

I dunno if its just me, but I can hear the comb filtering because of the two tweeters being on and the mic location.

Haven't tried the 12.2, but I will assume it has the same upgrades that accompanied the jump from the 6.0 to 6.2.

Great coverage, as always. I currently have the 6.0/12t "combo," and I'm looking for some more lightweight umph...so 2 Questions: 1) They differ in dimension, so how stably would a 12t stack on the focus 112? 2) How do they compare tonally? Would the 6.0/focus112 be its own sounding combo vs the 6.0/12t and would they work stacked or just fight each other? I plan on making the pilgramage to a showroom one of these weekends....thanks!

Hi Ed, I was thinking of picking two of these up or maybe a focus 2x10 and 1x12, ill see. Ive also found a second hand Shuttle 6.0 and was thinking of getting that aswell. Just wondering how you think these would go together for bass and double bass in generally small venues but maybe one day something larger?

Hi Ed, I need advice on double bass. In your opinion as a player and as a teacher, how crucial is a teacher when starting playing double bass? I won't have the time or money for proper lessons for a few years so is there any point in getting one? Or will I just develop bad technique?

I think all these years of fuzzbassing have left me deaf... I can't tell the difference between the different tweeter settings :( Both cabs sound tremendous though!

They are made by Eminence. Overpriced? $350 for a quality 112 seems very reasonable to me.

Have you ever tested or tried some TC electronic bass stuff?

Did you ever get to Demo the 115 Cab? I am trying to decide between the 112 or the 115. I only have 175 watts max for now but in the future I'll be going to 350 or 500 in 4ohm.
