Sweater from Bass Gang Blue Christmas last year. He let his humor shine through. Put a little twang. Then there are all the easter eggs. T-shirts to match the lyrics, some from past videos, Shirts on the rack are also from other videos and even his own merch. The little tree has been in two other videos. The text messages are hilarious. Then just like the end of Golden Hour, Kathy comes in and saves him. It's so fun that we have been getting to see more of Kathy.

If you think of the baskets as a shade of blue (dusty blue?) it can represent his “Blue Christmas” changing to a “White Christmas” at that moment.

Sound of Silence and Jack's Lament each had only one Geoff in the video. It was the right choice in both of those cases, and also here, for obvious reasons.

Geoff often does something to add his own flair to the songs. I can see why he would stretch the song a little but I suspect that the speaking part was added partly to poke fun at classic country where they always lose their truck, their dog, and their house. (She locked him out and took his keys). And often they include a cheating wife or girlfriend. I thing he may add to his twang but he comes by it naturally since he is originally from Virginia. It does show a little now and then in other songs, though mostly country songs. Also, someone pointed out on another reaction that Geoff and Kathy both have blue laundry baskets until they touch and look into each others eyes. Then the laundry baskets turn white. True love found.

Loved the audio and visual aids with your description of panning! That really made the explanation stand out for me. Nicely done! Several reactors have commented on how "buff" Geoff looks in this video - apparently he's been working at the gym - how does he find the time to do that?! Only Geoff could use the word "transgressions" in a country music video and get away with it!

Great job on the reaction, love the subtle reference in the song, where he says ‘decorations of red, on a green Christmas tree’, he was folding a red t-shirt on the decorations of ted part, and folding a green t-shirt, when he went onto a green Christmas tree 👍👍👍👍

Thanks! I KNEW that was the sweater you wore in The Bass Gang's “Blue Christmas” cover! As soon as the premiere began, I was like, “Hey, isn’t that the sweater Peter wore in The Bass Gang's ‘Blue Christmas’ cover?” As soon as you hinted it, I was so proud of myself, lol. And did you notice that Geoff released his cover one day before the one-year anniversary of The Bass Gang's cover? What a coincidence! Great reaction and analysis, as always!

The other times Geoff has been solo (on screen), I'm not sure you've reacted to/analyzed yet: Radio Head's "High and Dry," and "Sound of Silence." Since this song is about a man being alone, it make sense that Jeff, Geoph and Goff are off-screen, playing the voices in prime Geoff's head.

That was cool what you did here 8:59 with the example of panning. The black and white onscreen thing you did gave me a cue that I was missing something so I put my earbuds in and re-watched. Very cool, sir. 👍🏼 Yes, I enjoyed learning more about this, geeking out on details even if I never use them in real life. Fun to know. Great reaction and analysis on a somewhat shorter and less complicated piece from Geoff. You still found a lot to point out. We were lucky to get this video from him. I thought it was just going to be his All I Want short due to the Chicago concert and life things taking up a lot of his schedule. But, as usual, he and Kathy managed to pull this out for us, and it's fantastic. Fitting that you wore the same sweater from the Bass Gang's cover of Blue Christmas from last year. 😁 Also I like the idea of you and Geoff being BFFs going to the gym together. 🤣

With that pause I noticed the slight Elvis lip curl LOL Very slight. Brilliant though. I love the country feel of this one, with some typical country cliches. So much fun. He plays the doofus so well, as in Way Down, his other fun Elvis song. And Elvis never took himelf too seriously either. so I think he'd have loved this. I think High and Dry is the one where he's totally alone.

So when is the Bass Gang doing Im Tiefen Keller? It was my favourite bass song as a child. My dad had an Ivan Rebroff LP and we'd listen together. My second favourite bass piece was Handel's Messiah The Trumpet Shall Sound with Teddy Tahu Rhodes. 😘👌🏻

It's funny you mentioned the "Hook, Push, and Pray" because I've always tried to figure out how to explain a personal experience. Generally, I'm a regular baritone with semi-consistent F2s in the mornings. The highest chest note I can consistently hit is B4. The E5 in Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers is not something I can do in any other method that exactly that😂 I think I hit right around D5 when I start the push and then finally cap out at E5 lol
