In this step-by-step tutorial we will use images from the web to model a real world application for right triangle trigonometry problems. Along the way the viewer will learn how to use many GeoGebra features, gain exposure to strategies and techniques for building interactive worksheets, learn to correct mistakes, and create a dynamic student learning experience.

I found that the control points on my imported surveyor were not level with his feet making him fixed above the line AB. But otherwise I found this easy to follow tutorial an excellent starter for study. 👍

Hi, how can we resize the ballon while moving height slider, so at ground will bigger then up.

You would need to use the transformations menu and establish a point that acts as the center of dilation.

@@MrHudak I made a dilation however it did not act simultaneous with ballon fly motion. Do I need to set a condition?

Hello, thank you for making a helpful video. I want to modify the activity for my students, so I want to modify this into measuring the height of an object that touches the land, e.g: tree, building, etc. My problem is when I changed the height of the object, the object position is moving also. How do I solve this problem? Thank you

I create points in my worksheet that are not associated with an slider tool. Then I hide the points so the image cannot be distorted. Here is a link to some other trig application worksheets I've created. tech.mrhudak.com/geogebra/trig-app
