Following George Galloway’s Rochdale controversial by-election win, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak used a Friday evening address to warn that democracy is being targeted by extremists.
Speaking at a lectern outside the doors of No 10 Downing Street, Mr Sunak warned of “forces here at home trying to tear us apart,” in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks by Hamas against Israel.
Sunak also said the Workers Party of Britain leader’s victory in the by-election was “beyond alarming”.
On the other side, Labour has apologised to the voters of Rochdale for not fielding a candidate after Mr Galloway’s triumph.
Sir Keir Starmer’s party warned Mr Galloway will stoke “fear and division” and said he “only won because Labour did not stand” after it dropped its candidate Azhar Ali for suggesting Israel was complicit in Hamas’ October 7 attack.
Mr Galloway, one of Britain’s most divisive politicians, swept to victory in the greater Manchester seat, gaining almost 40% of the vote in a contest mired in chaos and controversy and dominated by the Gaza conflict.
The former Labour and Respect MP took aim at the Labour leader in his victory speech focused on Palestine.
Mr Galloway said: “Keir Starmer, this is for Gaza. You have paid, and you will pay, a high price for the role that you have played in enabling, encouraging and covering for the catastrophe presently going on in occupied Palestine in the Gaza Strip.”
TalkTV’s Peter Cardwell is joined by The Spectator’s political correspondent, James Heale, to break down the controversial by-election victory.

Sunak…..you idiot, it’s only Alarming to the Liars, Cheats, Zionists, and Supporters of Genocide, Racists,Oligarchs, but to many others, he will be seen as a Hero! The Prime Minister labelling people as extremists because they are appalled enough to protest a nuclear armed occupying state, so blinded by vengeful rage that they are killing, maiming and intentionally starving thousands of innocent children is unlikely to wash with most of the public in an age when main stream media is becoming less relevant. Doing it because he is spooked by a democratically elected MP who's politics you may or may not like makes him look weak. The language he uses is not dissimilar to what I'd expect to hear from a would be authoritarian leader creating a bogey man for his moral panic. It seems that the public, albeit a bit late may well be waking up to some of the injustice and inequality in this world and certain members of the establishment and their client media don't like it one bit.

As a Dane I can tell you that we have been looking at Sweden and the development in horror for many years, and we took the hard open discussion on immigration. Meanwhile the Swedish called us xenophobic and racist. The Swedish establishment literally banned any public discussions about the problems, branding everybody xenophobic and racist. Some experiments should just never happen when they cannot be undone. It’s not just Sweden. We are feeling this in Canada right now too. I also saw a documentary about Sweden trying to educate newcomers about their culture and none of the men seemed interested in hearing anything about women being equals in Sweden. If you import the middle east, you got the middle east!! Thats what happens. Let's open our borders to people from diametrically opposite cultures, who in many cases are illiterate in their own language, and let's bring them to a country like Sweden. What can go wrong? As an American who wants to move to Sweden. I support the Swedes fully in this. You deserve a safe country I lived in Sweden for 12 years. It is a paradise compared to most places, but it is under threat from people who do not share the values of the Swedish people. I dearly hope Sweden pulls through this and can get back to being such an amazing place.

My dad as a Vietnamese never understood why the immigrants from the troubled countries would not want to integrate themselves. He himself understood that he was a guest and it was a privilege to be able to live in Sweden at the time. So learning the language and trying to integrate was a no brainer for him. It’s because Sweden accepted immigrants from the wrong countries. Hi! I live in a small municipality in Sweden, It is one of the most effected by immigration in the whole country. I worked at the asylum centre that existed here back in 2015-16 (it is gone now). And what I experienced working with the immigrants can be summed up to this: They are looking to get everything for free. They treated the centre as a hotel and were terrible at adapting to their situation. They never looked after their kids, smoked indoors, splashed water everywhere ( they never understood the concept of water damage to the building) and they even went so far as to urinate/defecate in hallways and stairs. All in all I worked with ca 250 people and out of them I a handful of great guys that worked and talked about how exited they were to be a part of my country and contribute. I have since moved into working directly with the local government part time (since the election). And after I started looking into the migrant situation more I found out that our municipality's welfare cost shoot up from 5,000,000 SEK (ca 500,000USD) to 35-40,000,000 (3,500,000-4,000,000USD) between 2013 to 2018. And the numbers are about the same today. This has crippled my home to such an extent that we have to make cutbacks pretty much everywhere just to stay afloat. Let this be a lesson to everyone, that immigration is a sacrifice for the country and is a choice one shouldn't take lightly. I live in the US but I'm from France originally. When I look at my country of origin, France, I can relate to what the Swedes feel. It's a fact that most gang members in Sweden are first of second-generation migrants who are culturally incapable to assimilate. These people don't care about Sweden. Scandinavian countries used to have strong social cohesion and natives have always been proud of their countries. It's changing, they're angry about this and want a change. They are right. German here. We are facing similar issues. In 2015 when Merkel opened the borders and literally everyone could get in unchecked, I was horrified. I knew what this would become as I came from a city with high immigration rates from Turkey and Arab countries. Nothing but issues. My own husband called me xenophobic and racist. Now that we are facing the problems that were obvious to so many people here right from the start, politicians and green/left parties are genuinely surprised it didn't work out. It's a nightmare and Germany has been going downhill ever since. I do hope we follow Denmark's example.

The Muslim immigrants here in Canada do not beg for freebies. They are by far the most hard working inventive people in the land. My doctor is Muslim as is my dentist "a woman" Muslim. There are no alcohol slugging drug taking Muslims in any part of Canada. If you wish to hear about bad immigration, then look no further than the young black gangs in and around Toronto and Hamilton Ontario. They constitute over 90% of gun crime in this Province. They arrive from either Jamaica or some other island in the west Indies with no education, no trade skills but access to guns and gang members who recruit them the minute their feet land in Canada.

I stand with Denmark. The Danish should be the ones to determine the future of Denmark. They have been so generous and had their hospitality thrown in their face. I CANNOT STOP SMILING, EUROPEAN PEOPLE PROTECTING EACH OTHER. Way to go Denmark!!!!! We need to do the same in states!!! Well done Denmark government , as a Sri Lankan who lives in Netherlands, we should give priority to it’s original people , they are the owners of those land , I don’t mean we should bow the head , but we should know it is their country, specially I came in a legal way , I also like to have some rights like free of movement .but I don’t call myself as European because I am not , I am Sri Lankan it never change with citizenship, i don’t bring my religion here or my stuff ,I try to adapt European culture and I really enjoy it , but most of foreigners they spread their culture and religion and they want to call them Denmark citizens, but you still Arabic or Another nation!!!No matter how much sympathy we have towards refugees ..we must recognize the !! to protect themselves and culture...for Danish people. Sympathy is one thing and protecting once own culture is another. Well done Denmark I wish other countries can learn it’s important to put your own citizens first and worry about migrants and refugees after. Good for Denmark! Their country, their Laws. Danish taxpayers pay large sums to non-Western citizens. When these citizens receive benefits from Danish society, there is no question of racism - but when some of the same citizens have to provide something to Danish society (dissolution of ghettos/parallel societies with social control), then it is racism. I think it's a matter of double standards. SWEDEN wants ALL MIGRANTS out of Their Country for THIS REASON!

The waning influence of corporations and oligarchs in the UK and America signals their decline across politics and media. Their loss of control signifies impending financial collapse. Diminished power reflects systemic instability, hinting at looming economic turmoil. The erosion of their dominance foreshadows broader societal upheaval and economic downturn.

A well balance and fair interview and I noted the guest mentioning Mr Galloway's history and that maybe the impact of social media will change the out come in George's political chances. At the end of the day social media wasn't around in the Iraqi or the Syrian war when George was kicked out with the help of main stream media. So now it is a more fairer playing field and who knows what's next. Our unelected Prime Minister talks about democracies being under threat but where was the democracies on the Scottish vote for a cease fire or the best example the Brexit vote that many would not except.

After watching 50 years worth of UK prime ministers.... its become possible to predict who is in line to be PM... its always the person who you never heard of, who never worked in parlaiment and often even had no constituency of their own... who then suddenly appears in parlaiment as an MP and is all over BBC news from their first day. They then become PM within 6 years of appearing all over TV.. and they disappear into the unknown again as soon as their time as PM is done.

Let’s not lose sight of the fact that these protests (and the directed action towards MP’s) would not be occurring had the UK not backed Israel’s atrocities from the start, had not materially facilitated these atrocities and hadn’t been doing the aforementioned for decades prior to October of last year. It seems the West wants to have its cake and eat it by adopting ‘Multiculturalism’ (which in essence is nothing more than imported cheap labour disingenuously sold as an ‘ideal’) whilst simultaneously partaking in exploitative wars and conflicts in regions from which these people come. We then throw our arms up in disbelief when these people predictably (and rightly) object to their brothers and sisters of affiliated religion and creed being slaughtered in orchestrated (and some may say premeditated) genocide. The fact that what Israel and the West are engaged in is so utterly reprehensible, is highlighted by the outrage shared by a large proportion of the indigenous population. If only the West did have ‘values’ (shared or otherwise) beyond the ‘profit motive’ we’d be in a much better place..
