Slim Daddy did he? He had plenty of money from the six movies he made before hand and by owning Lucasfilm and ILM. Plo Koon He’s not exactly the best person to be in charge as shown in the Prequels. The reason why the original movies turned out great was because he wasn’t in total control.
@Jared_Wignall
@Jared_Wignall 3 жыл бұрын
Blake Bolin he was in control of the originals. He got final cut and the studio butted out of his business on the original film, thanks to Alan Ladd, Jr., and he chose the directors for the sequels to the original and he worked with them to make Empire and Jedi as great as they are. He was very important in the success of Star Wars. Time to stop with the lies that he pretty much contributed very little to Star Wars with the OT. People did challenge him on the prequels when you watch the various documentaries, featurettes, interviews and listening to the commentary. You can hear people working with Lucas expressing how certain things may not be done how he’d want them to be done. He compromised and things were changed to be able to fit his vision as well as those working behind the scenes would be able to have a bit of a load lifted off their shoulders. The new Star Wars films are corporate fiction. They’re made by a company that believe they know what the audience wants, yet the audience isn’t happy with the latest trilogy. Either at the beginning or by the end, a number of people who were huge fans of the Disney trilogy have turned and see how they’re just rehash films with very little new offered. Reboots disguised as sequels. George Lucas had a vision for new films, those at Disney and Lucasfilm didn’t. If they ever did have one, it was thrown out the window when Episode VIII was being made.

Although it hurts me that George Lucas has left Star Wars and see the catastrophe that Disney has caused with the STUPIDITY of people who do not even reach the tip of the little finger in terms of creativity, I must understand that he has to do what he more he likes and what fills his life (and a man who has it ALL has it difficult). I have my heart broken into three thousand pieces to see how this man who told me the best story I have ever told in my life and no longer want to do it, I have a child inside this body of 40 years crying in a heartbroken and I must try to calm down. However, I can not be so selfish and think that the great George would remain enslaved to a work for which he gave more than half of his years of life. Although I can not stop thinking how much wisdom we are losing with a new trilogy written and directed by him, the guy went from being a Luke to being a Yoda in real life. In this interview you can see how he talks to these young people about happiness in life, important and transcendent things, this is what made Star Wars movies important, the wisdom that their creator gave them. George, I understand, go and do what makes you happy and may the Force be with you.

Omg I’m glad he went long on the last question, cuz my daughter is almost 2 and everything he said is true. I’m glad he talked about wanting to throttle them….cuz you want to, but you don’t. And the more you give to them (sacrificing your time and things you want to do) the better you prepare them for the future and the more well rounded they can be. My baby girl cried when we went to kindergarten today and she said “papa” many times and I was leaving, I’m not gonna lie, I almost ran back in and hugged her. They are the most precious and valuable thing you have after they’re born and I have horrible dreams of making a mistake and losing them. It really changes you. :)

Such a caring and loving man. Always admired him. The hate he got at the time was unnecessary. Sure his films (The Prequels) did have a lot of issues but creativeness wasn’t one of them. Music too. He can tell a story that connects the dots, it was just the execution that wasn’t so great. But not all movies are perfect. Perfect films are the most boring. Flaws make films better, that is if they are at least consistent. You should have the creative freedom to do whatever you want with your film, show, anything. Don’t make it a certain way just to please people. We’re not here to please anyone, we’re here to do what we love and make the best out of it. We’re not perfect. We’re just human.
