"A few fries short of a Happy Meal". As a person who never went to a comedy store, and doesn't care for mf-bombs or f-bombs as adjectives or nouns in every sentence (there seems to be no balancing act in the comedy world -- either they are peppered in or they don't appear), comedians like George Wallace (and Jerry and Jay) are refreshing to me. I guess there has to be all kinds. I didn't find Carlin particularly funny - I loved his insights, however -- they weren't funny (to me) but they were true. I prefer him toward the end of his life more than during the coke years.

He's a truth teller. Carlin wasn't the first comedian to do that or be that, so I don't see why people think Wallace tries to be like him when so many comedians are simply truth tellers by nature and not by some intent to copy one another.
