I really dislike how a company can come around and design a product that does not conform to the standards that have been in place for over 10 years. What's worse is how the manufacturers bend over backwards to accommodate said company. They are truly the apple of the fpv world. Great video Lee, you are always one of my go-tos for new products and how to videos.

I was able to put the Walksnail Avatar HD Nano Kit V3 into the Cinebot 25. It was a pain. Here are the modifications: 1. The VTX must be mounted upside down. This allows the USB connection and bind button to be aligned with the port door. The 20mm x 20mm bolt holes on the VTX are on top and unused. You must use the 25.5mm x 25.5mm holes. The walksnail VTX comes with longer bolts. Put the bolts through the Cinebot 2.5 VTX heat sink, the fan guard, the metal piece for the IPEX connector, the VTX, and the camera connector harness. 2. The fan duct has a location for a bind button. I had to drill this out and remove some plastic so that the VTX would sit flat and the holes would align. 3. The 5v on the GEPRC Taker G4 45A flight controller does not supply enough current for the Walksnail Avatar HD Nano VTX and the other peripherals. When I tried this it would either loose video or fall out of the sky. You must use a BEC(Battery Equivalent Circuit). I purchased a MATEKSYS Micro BEC to supply 5v to the VTX. 4. You must wire the VTX to a free UART. I used UART 2. This means the betaflight configuration must also be modified. 5. I also created a camera mount so that the 14mm Walksnail Nano camera wouldn't need a shim. www.thingiverse.com/thing:6683271

Thank you for your honest review. I fully agree with you. Some vendors were caught into the DJI trap. But we are not interested in them anymore

Agreed, way too much hardware being designed around O3. Just fitted a moonlight kit to Gep's big 7 inch quad - blown away that the dremel needed to make an appearance for such a massive frame, because of course the sleek VTX mounting system expects an O3 unit

There has to be a reason why so many 'BNF quad' vendors are only selling 03 options. This model really doesn't make sense for GepRC, why design a model that ships without a HD system installed and Not make it universal? I think we can guess it is due to pressure from DJI. Are DJI that worried about the other systems? Starting to feel like it... Happy flying

What a shame geprc have gone this route. I have a Cinebot30 now based from your review Lee it's awesome to fly and I don't fly dji either so looks like I won't be upgrading anytime soon 😂

Sadly, as far as dji has grown from it's naza says they have become the apple of drones super easy and proprietary I remember when the flying cow had an xt60 and was only limited by it's internal bay with hobbest adding external dull battery trays then it was a proprietary battery and tx/rx system this is no different it's all about greed sad to see it's grown so big there effecting other companies so drastically...
