Gerard, come on, kilts are pleated to all hell so you push down on the top bit of fabric when you sit down. Legs wide open? Doesn't matter, 4 yards of fabric are used as a normal bare minimum to make the kilt, you have the fabric to shove between your legs. This is not coming from someone who just has heard about or seen kilts, I wear them every day of the week when I get home from work. They are comfy as all hell, just learn what to do when you sit, and maybe break tradition and wear underwear like I do (I wear underwear for different reasons, but that is neither here nor there).
