Today we will be eating German food! This was my first time going to a German restaurant, and I'm super happy that Andrew was able to come with me. As you can tell he is very knowledgeable in the German cuisine and in many different types of food as well. Beer is another specialty of his, he knows a lot about its background, the many different tasty and more.

If you eat pretzels with mustard, you immediately give away that you're American.😅 Pretzels are typically eaten here with Obatzter or simply butter.

I'm German and I eat pretzels with mustard. But to be fair, I eat pretty much everything with mustard, because I love mustard. Sausages, pretzels, bread, sauerkraut, carrots. Mustard works with everything

that place is really good! Andrew introduced me to that place. good environment and good food.....i have one of those mugs on the wall 😂. havnt been there recently but they used to have weekend morning soccer on tv

Eating pretzel with mustard... i ve heard about it... this is really common in usa? We use mustard only with saussages or ham. And butter for the pretzels.

We eat pretzels with lots of different sauces here. I’ve eaten with marinera sauce, cheese, and mustard.

Born and raised in germany, i´ve never seen anyone here eating a Brezel with mustard. Butter, yes. Obazda, and other stuff, but never mustard. Thats SUCH an american thing^^ Edit: Same goes for Kartoffelpuffer and sour cream. Edit 2: Half a liter is NOT a small beer. "Small" beers like Kölsch come in 0.2 liters. 0.3 or 0.5 are the standards.

I am German as well and pretzel with mustard and also kartoffelpuffer with sourcream is prettey common to me

Kartoffelpuffer with sour cream is common in Germany Beamy ;) Or with smoked salmon and sour cream. I also prefer sweet mustard to a pretzel instead of normal one, but well a pretzel is there to be dipped in anything and wont disapoint :D Also 0,5 Liters is a small one in Bavaria there is only 0,5 and 1 liter available usually there. In other parts of Germany 0,3 is usually a small and 0,5 a big since that is the two sizes that you can buy beer bottles or cans in. PS: I love the idea with apple sauce and sour cream on top :) That I have not seen, but I will try for myself and its a great mix actually :)

Thanks for the great video. Well, it‘s mostly a Bavarian thing to consider half a liter of beer a small one. In the rest of Germany that would be a big beer. E. g. in the nothern parts of the Rhineland a small and standard sized beer would be 0.2 liters. And btw. Bavaria is the only state in Germany where beer is considered a food by law. :)

In Deutschland essen nur wenige Menschen Sauerkraut! Und Weißwürste niemals mit Haut essen bitte😀.... Im Norden vin Deutschland stehen diese Speisen gar nicht auf der Speicherkarte! Nur in München und Umgebung gibt es diese Dinge ! Brezel gibt's aber in ganz Deutschland! Grüße aus Stuttgart

this potatoe... kartoffelpuffer could be northgerman. And the sourkraut is more common in russia or korea than in germany.

@@CurlyLeticia don‘t mind, dear! the best is: white sausage with brezn, dip the brezn in sweet mustard and then butter. that‘s great. and don‘t forget the white beer out of its special glas (tall and slim like a tulip) . that is real munich style. best wishes from me.
