Iron Mike Metaldetecting

Жыл бұрын

Back to the button forest, where amid loads of buttons, there are some other great German WW2 relics as well. Within minutes my friend Jeff found a rare German wartime Cavalry medal.
Although we have been back here several times, some great World War II treasures and gems still pop up. Golden buttons, trench art rings, uniform pieces and more. So buckle in and enjoy the ride!
Last time we were at this spot, we found a pit filled with WW2 relics. If you haven't seen that yet, go check it out:
• We dug out a pit fille...
ps. All the videos have subtitles in multiple languages for your viewing pleasure!

FAQ:
-Do you report things found to the authorities?
Yes, all nasty things found like UXO's and finds that could be important from an archaeology perspective are reported to the local authorities.
-Do you sell finds?
I am a collector myself so I hardly sell relics. But if I do then I'll post it on the social media pages or think about becoming a Patron, because I'll share finds with my Patrons (check out the Patreon website for details).
-How do you gain permission for metal detecting?
Check out local laws regarding metal detecting and get permission from the landowner. Or hook up with a local metal detecting club in the area you would like to detect and get your information from them. (I stopped responding to questions like this all together, I'm not google..)
-Can I come with you?
No.
-Will you marry me?
No, lets just be friends.
-I want to see more!
Go check out the social media pages, or consider becoming a Patron! Patrons have access to much more, special videos, behind the scenes footage and WW2 goodie boxes containing relics me and my friends found over the years.
-What metal detector do you use?
The Garrett Ace Apex with a bigger coil or the Garrett AT Max.
-Camera?
Go Pro 7, Go Pro 10 and a Sony handy cam
-What is on your bucket list?
Hitler's lost gold or the missing gold train everybody is searching for. But until then I am happy with whatever pops up, I even enjoy finding landmines... :-s
-What channels do you recommend?

It should be made clear that the German horseman's badge is a civilian award with no direct connection to the military or cavalry arm. That being said it, as with many other civilian awards, could be worn on military uniforms.

The anchor button is from the Kriegsmarine field grey uniform, possibly marine artillerie, which included both coastal and marine flak, but could equally belong to a wide range of KM unit types which used the field grey uniform.
